On any of my Le Mans prototypes, and others like the Sauber Mercedes, Renown 787B, etc, once I get over 200 mph, i can hear the rear tyres skipping on the track, especially on the long straights, like Le Sarthe. I have set the LSD high on both the initial torque (20-25) and acceleration (50-52) settings. I've set the downforce at maximum, and used a weight ballast toward the rear of the cars. Is there any way to correct this slippage? Because it destroys even the harder tyre compounds after just a few laps.
Any advice would be GREATLY appriciated.

You're getting airbourne by the sounds of it over bumps. Unless you want to slow down- I think you're stuck with it.

Too stiff. For normal racing duties, use my setup. Follow link in sig, it's the 787B Enduro tune.

good idea, try running on softer suspension settings.., Sarthe DOES have a lot of road irregularities.., and the 'Ring too..,

I too have a softish setup gor the 787B (and all other Group C/GTP/LMP cars in GT4) in my sig. Worth a shot aswell I think. Not as soft as RJ´s, but probably softer than yours.

To deal with the skipping, you can add some TCS, like 3 or 4, but no more.

the problem is its not a completly smooth surface, and you are going to jump at high speeds. just see the difference by taking it on the test track and noticing how smooth it is. besides, the le mans back straight is a public road most of the year....
