Problems loading GTPlanet Pages

Ok, as most know, last night the server was a little slow. However, I am still having some problems with the site. The biggest problem is that the Full WYSIWIG editor will not load completely when going to advanced mode or when posting a new thread. I am able to use the standard editor though. Also, all the graphics at the top of the each page are not loading and the site just sits there trying to load them with a "Waiting for www.gtplanet.net..." in the status bar.

Any ideas on how I can get the pages to load completely is appreciated.

Attached is what I see for the banner and links at the top of each page.

Yeah i'm getting that problem too. Isn't too much bother though, so long as it isn't anything major at the server end.
 
I got that last night and I'm still getting it... :grumpy:
 
The load ofthen hangs on the burstnet.com ad at the top of the page for me.

Also, it bothers me that the ads are of differnet sizes. Shouldnt they all be the same size?
 
Well, the site's back. It was down for 4 hours. I don't know why but hopefully I will find out soon.

it was? thats odd because ive been on it nearly all day. :odd:
 
Well, there were no posts between 5:15 and about 9:25.
 
I t was down for a long time. Longest 4 waking hours in a while ;)
 
The server that GTPlanet.net resides was caught in a DDoS attack. That's the main reason for the downtime. Jordan is working through the issues on the server with a few consultants at the moment.

You may run into a hitches here and there, as well as the occasional moment of disruption, but at this time, it's well in hand.

DDoS = Distributed Denial of Service = Flooding the server with useless, usually spoofed requests (SYN packets) from multiple compromised servers.
 
Yeah, but lots of people on the internet are all talk. :rolleyes: He sounds like a script kiddie looking for some recognition.

Yeah, that bothers me as well, but serving both ads nearly doubles revenue, so that makes it a little more bearable. :)
 
It keeps on loading once everything's done, for some reason. As if it's automatically refreshing a cached page or something. I have to stop it manually to be able to navigate, which is a bit frustrating.
 
Yeah, I got that too, I'm messing around with the ads and they're screwing up a bit.
 
The top of the page is loading for me again. My wireless router feels the need to refuse connection to it though this afternoon for some strange reason.
 
I'm glad it was a DDoS attack, and not a server crash.. I'd feel awfully guilty ;)

The top still refuses to load for me. Plus, there are a few graphics not loading, such as Jordan's Ownew-Operator graphic and the line that seperates the User Info (Avatar, User title, etc) and the message. It's running fine, though.
 
OK, I made a few minor changes to something that I suspect could be causing that problem. What's it like for you now?
