problems with 2.03 update - locks up on load

I updated to 2.03 last night. Now I can't get the game to load. It locks up after I press "x" to go past the opening video.

Any ideas?

Anyone else having this problem?

Update downloaded and installed correctly....I think.
 
No issues here.

1) Back up your save data
2) Disconnect from PSN
3) Start GT5 while offline

Should work.
 
I have a problem in the garage, the cars of the first DLC are not available it is request to install again the DLC.
 
interesting. XXl's advice worked and I'm back up and running. I still haven't cashed the tickets from the first DLC so I can't comment on that problem.

And no response from Sony or PD when contacted.
 
I'm having the same problem... Upgraded my internet service and changed routers on the same day I installed 2.03 so I wasn't sure if it was my hardware or GT, but it seems to lock up whenever it would be connecting online... either it locks up just before the online terms, or at the main menu with no cursor to go to my home. In the odd time that I can get it to load it might work for a while but freeze on the GT screen when returning home after a race. Other online stuff seems to still work when this happens (PS store, internet browser).

Sorry for the ignorance, but how do I back up my save data and start GT5 offline?
