Problems with Counterstrike

I would search but i cant be bothered.

Im running a 56k and i am having real trouble getting into servers. It almost gets in but it either takes too long or It says "Failed Connection Attempt" or something along those lines.

Any help or suggestions.

I probably just need to be patient.

And i have already got the newest patch.

1. Get a new computer.

Scratch #2. Rural Jetstream is crappy.
 
yea i might buy a new comp...i have anuf money just not really sure if it is worth it...
 
Well it's probably cuz the server has an autokick for anyone w/ insane lag, probably like you.. :p
 
Assuming that you have installed the latest patch, which seeing as the retail patch is about 135 meg :eek: will have taken you ages over a 56k link. Unless you got it off a mate? And have also got the map packs, the server should tell you!

Download "All Seeing Eye", (it's free on evaluation) search by country, then sort by ping (it all works like windows browser) connect to the lowest ping server you can find with an open slot, then play!

Can't remember the hompage of "Eye" at the moment. But if you can't google for it then post again and i'll put up the link.

Being on 56k should not affect your game that much but you may have to do a bit of configging to get things optimal. And CS will run on a really low spec PC anyway so don't go spending money unecessarily!

Bloody piece of crap game.....or computer...or both
 
cs was the only game i didn't care 4 in te half-life series, play Team Fortres Classic instead, its better, way better.
 
I dunno...trying to play any game on a dial-up connection is painful.

How does your computer spec out?
