The last week or so I have had problems with filenames on uploaded replay files. The Planet seems to shorten the names when uploading. I've thrown in an example. The full name on my PC is: NielsG wrs 99 1'23,800.xps shortened to: 23,800.xps

January the 12 (and before), I did not have that problem. Last file uploaded correctly was named: NielsG wrs 98 1'14,616.xps The length and format of the name is the same. So is the size of the file.

Anybody know what's going on?

Edit: Problem solved. :) See post #5.

I don't ever use GTP attatchements so I am not so sure exactly what it is, but maybe GTP has a maximum number of characters allowed on a file name.

I believe there is a limit on attachment file name characters, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. We recently upgraded our forum software (and are about to do it again) so I'd say the issue came up during that update.

OK. Thanks, Jordan.

I'll experiment with shorter file names then, to figure out the permitted length.

Apparently it's not the length of the filename that's the problem, but rather the format of the name. The updated software doesn't seem to like the '-mark. Changed it to either . or , and there's no problems anymore.

Edited my first post to exemplify.

Just letting you know, in case other have had the same problem. :)
