Questionable Midfield time?

It is a very fast time, but the tire choice is incorrect...only R3 tires may be fitted to the Formula car.

I checked marsipulami's profile to attempt to contact him about this, but he appears to have PM's turned off, and when I attempted to use the "Email this user" link, I got the system "This user has elected to not recieve emails" message.

We do need to contact him about this run, to clarify the tire issue, and frankly, I think we need to see a replay of this run.
 
Hmm.. According to his profile, viewed from my prespective, he's got PM's turned on. Although his profile does not state it for regular viewers.

I'll click a few buttons, and he'll get notified that he needs to submit a replay to be verified. [edit]Hmmm... That is odd. I can't seem to be able to set him up to recieve PM's. I do have his e-mail address, so I can pop him an e-mail and ask to verify his time.

Ok... Figured it out. Apparently he never responded to his e-mail confirmation and therefore we couldn't e-mail or PM him. Now that that is fixed, I've PM'd him and e-mail him. Shall we give him 3 days to respond, and then the time gets noted that no verification was provided? at which point we'd give a week and it gets pulled from the database?

First, he has an issue with the tires he has listed as used. As I posted, you can only fit the Formula car with R3 tires. If he can edit his entry, after confirming equipment complience, that would be a start.

I suppose we can wait a few days, maybe 3, then I can PM/email him about requiring a replay, again. If he can't comply, we'll have to have the time deleted.
 
Well, if you guys believe a time is questionable and if the user is unable to provide confirmation, it must be removed. I'll post a formal thread on time queries.
 
AO, any more word from marsipulami?

If he can't produce a replay, his time needs to be removed. We need to set the standards firmly as more and more folks start submitting times ;)
 
I suggest we just do as most other databases do and give him a time limit to deliver the goods! failure to comply will result in removal of the time on the deadline ... warn him via email of the situation ... sounds fair to me 👍

How long should a time limit be for the verification procedure? ... I reckon 1 week is plenty for someone with a replay device, unless they dont have one and they pre-arrange with an official and are sending via snail mail to someone in there vacinity then maybe an extra week for travelling time 👍 just my suggestion :)

BTW, I checked my email and have a buttload of verification requests...

Jordan, any chance of getting that attachment coding setup for the Verification Forum? I'm a little hesistant to be emailing folks with my email client problems.
 
I'm trying to figure out the best method for people to report these times...I'm more than welcome to any suggestions. NoQuarter, attachments should already be enabled for the Verification Submissions forum.
 
Jordan, I just attempted to post a test thread in the Verification Forum.

The only option available was for attaching an Image Shack image attachment.

I "previewed" the thread...still no attachments option other than Image Shack.

Backed out without actually posting the thread.

I went ahead and posted a "How to..." thread in that subforum, however, when I went back out to the main Leaderboard forum, the Verification sub-forum still indicates that no posts have been made. This may be because of my ancient Macintosh browser, but it may be something you want to look at.

Hopefully, this will all streamline the verification process. ;)
 
I've not heard a word from him, and I've posted a second e-mail to him.

No response = time rejected. If we're all in agreement.
