Problems with Gear ratio for F1 car

I was trying to figure out what my top speed is with my F1 car. I put the 6th gear up as high as it went, put 5th gear up a little, put 4th up a little and so on. When I was using it on the test track after it went from 5th to 6th it just stayed at low RPMs(around 5 or 6 thousand I think). I tried moving the gear ratio down a little bit and it still didn't work right. Any advice would be appreciated for Formula 1 Cup race on test track.
 
F1 engines make very little torque at low revs, and really need to be pulling at least 10000rpm before they'll pull cleanly.

If you shift the motor to a tall gear under 10000 rpm the engine simply doesn't have the torque to overcome both the gearing AND the downforce the car produces - this is why the Le Mans cars have better top speeds, because they're more slippery through the air and have less resistance.

You'll need to shorten that gear right up.
