i have a pwts with the clubsport pedals and the wireless dongle for the ps3 but i cannot get it to work with the ps3 to save my life :banghead:

i got the D pad to work in the menus but i cant get the car to steer or the pedals to work. in a race only the start and back buttons work. the rest of the wheel is unresponsive.

i tried getting help from fanatec but they dont want to support me because i did not buy it from them i bought it used....

i have never updated the firmware on the wheel/dongle because i thought that was only necessary for the pc not for the xbox/ps3

if all i need is to update the firmware can someone please point me in the right direction? ANY help would be greatly appreciated i just want to play this awesome game!

Is your wheel running in PS3 mode? Do you see the buttons as 1,2,3,4 or circle triangle x and square? And is the dongle red light and white light on?

PWTS should work without any firmware, firmware updates just added a few more tweaking options and you can find the firmware download on fanatec site, but u need windows xp to install the firmware, or windows 7 running VM win xp.

If you're putting it into PS3 mode by pressing the sync and back/select button at the same time so it lights up red with PS3 buttons and still have this problem then your dongle is faulty. Try using a USB cable to confirm this. My first dongle only worked in the menus and on the PC it showed as a gamepad instead of a wheel. A new replacement dongle sent by Fanatec fixed the problem. Just use the USB cable until you get a new dongle.

I updated my firmware right from Win7 with no problems and no compatibility mode was needed.
