A Seasonal Event. So, I was able to complete the first race of the "Expert Level Online B-Spec Challenge" (the Circuit de Spa) with a Lvl 30 B-Spec driver and a Nissan Xanavi Nismo GT-R '08. However, I am having difficulties with the second race (the Circuit de la Sarthe).

I chose the Pagani Zonda R '09 for the Sarthe race but even so, all the other cars were way faster. What car do you recommend? The track has some very long straights and the limit is 700 PP (Performance points)

I might suggest looking in the Seasonal section next time. There are lots of folks talking about this. A few links:
40 Mins?
Solution?
Long Discussion

In short; my solution: 2J on RH to start, lap 2 pit-Inters, then pit on lap 8/9 for more inters.

For clarification

1. Use the Chaparral 2J. Okay.
2. on RH to start. What does this mean?
3. lap 2 pit-Inters. What does this mean?
4. pit on lap 8/9 for more inters. What? there are 10 laps.

Rh = ?
inters = ?

Thanks for the reply

RH = Racing Hard Tires
inters = Intermediate Tires (for wet tracks)

Both wrong, 2J on sport soft no pitting at all easy win, S/S are grooved tyres.

also a viable option for many

RH= Racing Hard tires.
Inters= Racing: Intermediate tires. Not Racing: Rain tires (wets). It's the middle step between Racing slicks (soft/medium/hard) and Racing Rain.

I'd say pit on 8 or 9 because with my strategy, and pushing Bob, you burn up the rear tires. The AI pits on 2/3 and 9/10 anyways, so as long as you're faster, it doesn't matter. You could pit on lap 7 if you have a 30+ second lead, as you wouldn't probably lose it.

I'd say, take the 2J, put sport soft on it and don't pit at all.

👍

So, I took your all's advice and used the 2J with Sports Soft tyres. I didn't pit at the end of lap 2 and 3 when the other cars did and got the lead until lap 7. Then on lap 9 I was down to 6th place. (No mistakes all the time)

The other cars then pitted again at the end of lap 9 and again, I didn't. However, this time, not pitting wasn't enough to get the first place again and I finished in 6th place, with a 25 second gap and the total time of 41:05.

I believe this didn't work out for me because my driver made a big mistake on the lap 8, sadly, losing 10 seconds.

Even though my driver hadn't made the mistake, I believe I had lost anyways since the gap was 25 seconds in the end. Any other setup suggestions? xP

P.s. my driver is lvl 30.

Did you kept him in red to keep enough speed..?

Give it another go with my original strategy. Make sure your suspension is soft, as the 2J relies on the fan ground effect.

No, as when he was red he began to do mistakes because of the rain. Also, the 2J's top speed was only 320 km/h so the other cars closened in on the straights.

I'm going to try again tomorrow with softened suspension.

There's already plenty of discussion about this in the correct (Seasonals) forum. Click on the links Jubby provided (the second and third ones particularly).
