Procrastination

Well.....as the thread is titled, I'm procrastinating right now. I've got this stupid history thing due tomorrow, and it's midnight, and I'm surfing GTP. Just wondering.....how many other people do this? What stuff do you procrastinate into the wee hours of the morning?

I've gotta go do history now, so I'll be back in an hour or so ;)

"If it wasnt for the last minute, nothing would get done".

I can't remember who wrote that originally, but it holds true. Well it did at university anyway.

I bet I procrastinate worse. I haven't been to school for three weeks because I just couldn't get up and go. I'm supposed to be graduating this year too.

I procrastinate everything. I dont work well unless I am under pressure.

Procrastination is like masturbation. It feels good at the time, but afterwards, you realize that you just ****ed yourself.

Yeah.

All. My. Life.

I have no regrets either. It has taught me how to deal with pressure.

My last most recent threads (within the last 7 days) have been made while procrastinating! My thread entitled "sleepy" was made while doing a language arts project....without GTP i might actualy have to do my homework!

I've got major course work for Wednesday... and you've guessed it, haven't started yet. In fact, i probably won't start it until Tuesday, or Monday if i'm feeling generous to myself.
It sucks. I feel like such an idiot for doing it. I think i'm lazy. Plus the procrastination.

for my programming class, I leave my assignments till about 2 hours before they're due...but that's because i'm the only person in my class that really knew vb walking into the room.

I've done 8 pages single spaced in the space of 2 days - that included research...Most of my exams are left till the day before too (except for accounting - that killed me despite 2 weeks of studying). So uh yea...I procrastinate a lot 👍

Wow, that's bad...

Anyway, I can't top that, but I am a pretty terrible procrastinator. I've got an essay due on Monday that was assigned 3 weeks ago (including one full week of Spring Break), and I haven't started it or even started the research. I also have a bad habit of starting my math homework during the period that it's due.

You'll find that once you get into university, you'll be skipping 5 or 6 classes in a row either because you don't feel like going or because you assume they'll be pointless. You're already on the right track in terms of getting things done by leaving your essays and assignments till the weekend before they're due...as long as you get good grades anyways.

ooh, and another thing - you won't have to worry about grades *as* much in university as long as you keep a decent gpa :D

O lordy. This coursework of mine was set 6 weeks ago. I've had 3 weeks of Easter holiday, 2.5 weeks before that, and these last few days :( If i don't complete it i have to get at least 80% in the exam. I've failed the test exam twice. If i fail this module i fail the year, which sucks because i have got marks of 80%ish, 90%ish and 100% in my other modules.

Could go on for hours.

I hate my attitude towards life.

Now now, don't go on encouraging me... ;)

How did you make sm at your age Sage?

Most people your age on the internet are complete assholes (no offence meant to anyone).

[edit]Well i can see how. So i guess this is irrelavent.[/edit]

@don - what course are you doing poorly in? This is my second time through Accounting 1 and I may be suspended if I ****ed up this time around (I'll have my marks at the beginning of next month...AFTER the drop deadline for my summer courses is made). If I fail the third time, I'll be kicked out of my program :(. I't sad considering my other marks are all in the 70's and 80's

Mm, I avoid being a complete asshole?
:D

I dunno... I've always been the quiet type who thinks out what I'm going to say well before I say it, so I guess that helps. Having parents who are stringent about manners helps too. :)

Sorry to hear that bro. There always seems to be one module/program that ****s you up. Good luck with the results, looking forward to hearing you passed :)

I'm doing Computer Science. Involves a lot of C programming; some HTML work, MS Access, Rational Rose, circuit board programming, maths (of course) etc.

It's the Systems Modelling (Rational Rose and all that) module that i'm not doing too well on. My lecturer is very dull, which doesn't help. i feel totally wiped out in every lecture because they're so boring!

It shouldn't be a problem... but it is, just because i've left everything to the last minute. I never learn though. I'll do it next time, twice as stupidly! ;)

Shows. Glad there's hope for the younger teenage generation ;)
