Could be quite interesting if a little hard to police.

What day/time are you planning to run?

Like the field, it's a more realistic selection than the other FIA GT4 series on here. Good work, Tuesdays would work for me 👍

Tried out the cars, good balance, the Elise is a lot faster around the more technical tracks though.

Sounds good, hopefully more people get interested.

Ooooh, I've been waiting for a serious GT4-series for a while. "Serious" in the sense of "good car-selection and specs", not super-serious, of course. :sly: I'm definitely interested, also because of the limited suspension tuning!

I'll start testing cars tonight, but if Wardez says they are pretty well balanced already, that sounds pretty reassuring! 👍

How about allowing aero-mods except rear wings? Doesn't have any influence on performance, but gives it a bit more of a race-look...

Wings do have an effect on top speed and would simply slow some cars down and most GT4 cars don't have wings or aero

While I don't quite believe that front aero has any effect in GT5, it's your decision, of course.

Car selection is pretty much perfect, I would say. The only other car that came to mind was the Chevrolet Camaro.

I think 10 cars will be too much

Bought and configured all the cars yesterday. Just 2 questions:

1) I think there's the weight reduction missing for the BMW M3 according to the weight stated in the OP.

2) The Mustang gets no suspension upgrade at all, did I understand that right? (Seems odd since it usually is the worst in corners)

Some testing to follow tonight hopefully...

I'll check the M3 tonight, the Mustang is the only car to get race suspension to help compensate it's horrible ballance

Tested the Vantage, the Z4 and the M3 so far. All within 4 tenths on Suzuka after a couple of laps only, so within margin of error. Very nicely balanced indeed!

So far I like the Vantage best! Very controllable and smooth handling. The Z4 sounded most like a race car, because it's tuned rather than limited compared to the other two I tested, but it felt a bit soft (at least with the setup I used). The M3 seemed slow when you drive it like the other two, but if you push it, you get the same lap times as for the others.

But still six to go!

Tested 4 more cars, and it seems like the Elise is too fast and the Mustang too slow.

I found that the Elise is just as fast as all other cars on straights and it murders everything else in the turns. On Suzuka, it was 2 seconds faster than any other car I tested so far. And the more corners, the more advantage it will have. So, I would say this would need some parts taken off.

The Mustang is just hard to match with other cars. It's so bad in corners that not even the fully customizable suspension helps a lot. Maybe an expert tuner can do something with it, but me, being rather the opposite, I definitely cannot. I was about 1.5-2 seconds slower than the field in it on Suzuka, although it was the fastest on the straights.

Cars that are very evenly matched: Vantage, Z4, M3, Corvette, Evora.
Cars not tested yet: Maserati, 370Z

This is all subjective, of course.

I agree with the Lotus being to fast I will nurf it abit, the Mustang is competitive its Straight line speed is its major strength

Tested the other two cars and the Maserati is also VERY fast. Nissan is also a good car and fun to drive, but should be in the range of the other cars (Vantage, Z4, M3, Corvette, Evora)
