I roughly translated that to "don't you know anyone that isn't underage" but I can't be too sure. It's all Welsh to me.

A toaster which sprays the butter and any topping you like onto the toast once done. This ensures that an even spread is achieved over the whole slice.

I'm not too sure I'd want melting butter within a toaster tbh. Might be a little dangerous, plus it'd set the ELP off everytime you used it.

As for the thread.....

Fence panels that double up as lingerie models.....

There should be a cloning machine of people named Lou so whereever the thread author is, he can 'skip' to one of them.

Well it would pass through a conveyor belt mechanism. Once toasted it would enter the "spraying booth". There it would recieve one coat of butter and one coat of Jam/jelly/peanut butter/Marmite etc.

Complete nutritional meals... in a pill (or a bar a la Homer Simpson)!

You're lazy :dopey:

The whole point of invention and innovation is to permit people to be more lazy. :D I'd say that's allowable in this thread.

It would also be useful on that really soft bread which sticks to the knife when your trying to spread it. (You all know what I mean)

A bloody replacement to the windscreen wiper system.

As someone who wants to become an engineer and is in his third year of DT (GCSE and now AS Level) you do have to wonder why no-one else has reinvented it.

It's like the piston engine system. It's such an inefficient cycle as the wipers have to stop and travel in an opposite direction for a brief period. At least the rotary engine exists, even if it hasn't replaced the 'standard' piston engine. A

And they don't even clear the entire screen.

I've been saying that netflix should start up a porn portion of their service for a long time now. Tell me you wouldn't sign up for that...

Keef: my buddy has a 02 TrailBlazer LTZ and when you shift into reverse the electric mirrors automatically tip down, then they tip back up when you shift into drive. If I remember right they call it "curb view assist" or something. I think other GM trucks have it too.
Every Lexus has it too; it's quite annoying, because when I'm parking a car, I want to make sure I'm not striking another bumper, not hitting a curb. It's easily defeatable, just by setting the mirror switch position to neither L nor R. Little people love the feature, though.

Keys with a GPS sensor. That's what I need.

Install a set of key hooks by your front door.

Just hang your keys there when you get home. Then you'll never lose them.

When you lose a key, its only a few bucks to cut another one. When you lose the GPS tracking device, that will be more than a few bucks.

Maybe a GPS device that could be found by another GPS device if you lose it?

I've been saying for years that they need to grow potatoes with cheese already in them, so you microwave it or pop it on the grill, and it comes out with melted cheese inside when you break it open.

I've had microwave-able potatoes with cheese inside them.

How about a remote control that emits a noise every time you press a button on the TV? I lost my DVD remote in August and have yet to find it. And my room is 14x11.

You're

I could put a hook through your letter box and get your keys then I'm away, away forever!

I'm sorry but I think the people at Netflix would have a problem having a disc returned to them with a mysterious crust on it.

That, and I know I wouldn't wanna handle something that had been in someone else's fresh... *ahem* willybeaters

Or just bust the door down in the middle of the night and drive off with your car.

Kind of makes that old tactic even easier.

If you could snag my keys from the hook I have near the door you deserve them. I think the mental image of you on your knees by my front door with a coathanger sticking through the letter box in my door (which doesn't actually exist because I have a mail box) trying to angle the thing to get some keys that you cannot see from that position would be enough to convince you that you'd be better off smashing the window and hotwiring the car.

If you want to bust down my door in the middle of the night, you can have my car. I'll be perfectly happy if you turn around and leave with my keys rather than coming in and making me shoot you. After you leave, I'll call the cops... and when they find my car I'll call the insurance company.

...not that any of that is going to happen. Instead, I just get to always have my keys right where I expect them.

Somehow I don't think that would be a problem. I just can't see people being THAT enthusiastic about returning the disc.

So the first thing you do when, um, finished, is take the DVD out of the player to put it away??? :scared:

wfooshee, there are some SICK people out there. I wasn't implying I do that. I use the Internet anyways.

Actually it was a common tactic of car thieves in the UK for a while. Admittedly for high end or rare cars but it still happened.

...in which case I'd much prefer that my keys were on the wall by the door, so that they could take them and go. If they have to come ask me for the keys, or start going around the place looking for them, I'll be explaining to the police why there's a dead guy in my house - because I'll definitely feel that my life is in danger and respond.

I'd rather they took the car.
