I already completed most of the game but i lost my mem card. yea it sucks. but anyways im on the ff pro race again and i was wonderin what car is the best to use for this race. Sorry if this has been asked before but i did a search and couldnt find anything.

Dunno of the top of my head..I'll go look later and try and find some out for ya. Welcome to GTP. :)

Priamx: bummer, man.

Try the GT3 Writeups board. Coincidentally, this series is right at the top of the page.

Welcome to the planet.
For the FF pro races. V-dubs are the way to go. For Cote d'Azur the Lupo cup car, fully modded will crush the competition. Its small size allows it to be flung about with greater abandon.
For the other two tracks, the VW Beetle Cup car, also well tuned, is up to the task.

Forget all those cars. The Xsara rally car that you win in rally mode is the best car for Professional FF races... unless you want some competition that is.

I used a fully modded and NA tuned TRD Celica which won all races in this series pretty comfortably.

The little Xsara is certainly a rocket though.

I beat all the FF races with my 276hp Honda Integra Type R '98 Spec.

Too easy.

Man i had a 400+hp Civic Type-R I all built for the Pro FF. That damn thing sucked. It reved so fuggin slow I couldnt do anything with it.

Gear ratio tweeks?

I find you can get better performance with about 2/3 the power by adding the racing transmission. Not only do you get an extra gear to play with, you can tune the ratios to right where you want 'em. No more slow revving if the trans is nice and short!

And FWIW you hit the maximum usefeul horsepower for a front-drive car somewhere around 300 hp. More than that and you just incinerate the front tires all the time.

Edit:DANG! Gil treed me. That's what I get for being so verbose.

I used the civic type r for rome and cote d'azur, and used the integra type r for deep forest. personally speaking after tweaking both cars out with their suspensions and gear ratios, it was really no challenge. I was let down by D'azur in all honesty. I had to race both the spoon and beetle race car, and neither could corner even though thay had a speed advantage after I de-tuned the civic.

I got all the FF competition I needed with the Pro Vitz Series!:banghead:

For my time, I used the Xsara. Yeah, it's the best one, but it's not like I was using an F1 car in a normal car race.

I just figured, 'Why not?'. I like the looks of the car, so I wanted to at least try it out. It's not like I was ever planning to use a FF car for rallying.

Use the Xsara car... it's quicker than the others, and has excellent, even tire wear (most front-drivers are prone to excessive front-tire wear, but the Xsara has the amazing ability to wear out the tires relatively evenly...) However, use it only if you want an easy win. If you don't, than use a non-heavily-modded Honda ITR, and test it in qualifying to see how to ranks with the other cars. ;)

You know, the Xsara's not a bad rally car either... it's the one I used to finish all the Arcade Rally events with no problems... which is the key to completing the Arcade mode: Choosing the right car. I found the Xsara and the S2000 unbeatable for completing all the Arcade races.
