Most of us here will have been playing GT4 for about one month now, how is everyone getting on with it ?

I am just over 50% complete, I have spent a lot of time with the licenses and aim to have all golds completed within one month of receiving the game, I got it on the 4th so I have a little time yet.

I have 79 Golds and 1 Silver, the remaining gold is the Mercedes C9 at the Ring, I spent last night on it and got down to 5.51, I'm confident I will manage it tonight, it's not as bad as I thought it would be !

I'm on 28% after er... 2 1/2 week and havin alotta trouble winning the GT worls championships (Last stage of Pro Circuit). May I know what car did you use to win it? I tried playing with a fully supped up Option Fairlady Z but was eatting dust all the way.

And advice would be fantastic.

i want ot ask: are the licences more difficult than in GT2 or 3?

None, they give you licenses if you've completed GT4:P.

86.9% done.

25,000+ A-spec points
6,000'ish B-spec points

26 cars - Rufs, Audis, Skylines, Zs, BMWs, VWs a Subaru and a Mini...all the cars but one I want (the Speed 8). I've sold the rest and/or bought just for a specific race and then sold it when i was done.

Fav cars: Ruf CTR (normal), Audi R8 (race), VW Original Beetle (classic)

26 cars is alot for me considering I only used 8 in GT3, and of those 8 really only 3 all the time. I had only 5 I used in GT2.

I like what I like and hate what I hate, and I hate alot...

I just ran the license tests only once or twice, mostly bronze and silver, a few golds. I wanted to open up the game. I always go back later down the road and gold them, they are easy enough that it won't a be a problem. There aren't any that are hard or nail biters like prolouge and Gt3 had.

Pretty much all I have left are the most of the longer endurance races, the formula gt (no f1 car) and and various BS manufacturer races...a few rallys to go to. Odds and ends mostly...I'll get them done, but am in no real hurry for 100%. It did take me about a year before I went for it in GT3. It's more fun for me driving and tuning cars then doing BS races I don't want to.

On the subject of BS races, there are alot fewer of them in GT4 than in Gt3 or Gt2. Plus the ones I really loath (cars/makes I hate or tracks I loath) I can b-spec. Most races are very enjoyable. Though the AI's grid choices still surprise and confuse me.

after almost two months of playing, I'm only at 14.5%, about 8,000 A-spec points, I ran the llicense tests once each and got 16 Golds, 55 Silvers, 9 Bronzes.......why so low after 2 months, first.....i have a life (hahaha jk)........really, all i did for the two months was get enough money to buy all the cars i wanted, then i just test and compare them against each other.......my OCD had me organize my garage (wash and new oil in all cars) in the order i want it to be in, so i dont even bother doing any races in GT Mode, i just go to Arcade mode and race, or whenever i do decide to compare the cars in my garage, i never save it cause i want the order to be perfect.....that's OCD for ya....i'l probably complete the game when it comes out in the US

Day 603 (only 91 more days! Eeeeeee!)
43.1% completion
Most golds, handful of silvers.
93 Cars, last one I got was the MKI GTI (in Red this time, so i'll be sure to snap photos for the guy who wanted em)
Finished Beginner and Professional (unlocked the "ending" movie)
Japanese Hall finished
All of Easy Special Condition finished
Midway through Normal Special Condition
Midway through Euro Hall
Midway through American Hall
1/3 through Endurance Hall
Finished 1-10 Mission Hall
All Silvers in License Centre (Bronze and 3 silvers including the Nurburgring in S License)
Most powerful car: Sauber C9 with Stage 4 Turbo (1139hp) with widened gear ratios
Least powerful car: Subaru 360 (41hp) prize car
Favorite Car: tie between Aston Martin DB9 Super Gold and NSX-R LM Race Car, neither which I plan to use =)

Less than a month of playing, currently at 92% ... just some Endurance and Special Condition Hall races left along with the last Mission Hall.

For those who hardly use B spec mode.
What % are u at ?
Also how many hours ruffly do you do a day on gt4 ?
Reason i ask is because GT4 seems way easy'er then previse GT games.

Hmm i'm at around 22%, i've finished the beginner hall done one mission race, a fair few manufacturer races (i'm enjoying most of these just guessing what car i'll get) and three or four special condition races, oh and one or two Japanese races in the Japanese Hall. I've got around 10,000 A-Spec points and i'm trying to get at least 100 a-spec points for each race as a minimum. Although my ideal amount of A-Spec points is about 150-170, I managed a 200 point race for the spider and roadster cup with a honda beat. Although I need to re-run some races to get higher A-spec points. I haven't touched B-Spec yet.

i plan to play like you...getting max a-spec points
but something's bugging me

i read somewhere that if you use stock subaru 360 in subaru 360 race, you get 55 pts, if you modify it, you get less of course, so what must you do to get 200pts?
add weight? is it really such a handicap that the game will give you 200pts instead of 55?

Yeah, in some races you can't expect to get a certain amount of points because it's dependant on the opposition and your car. I haven't tried adding balast to the car yet, but in some cases I think it would make the race unwinnable.

Don't have teh game, but me and a friend played one night back and forth between races and got to an astonishing 2.1% completed. Beat that!

do you think it's possible to get 200pts on EVERY race (with perfect driving and little tuning - i mean the suspensions...)?

I don't have the game but I think it would be possible. The competition's cars change every race though, so once you do get a chance to get 200 points, you better win the race or you'll have to keep restarting races until you get the cars you want to race against again.

If you tune the suspension i've noticed it takes away a few points, well i'm pretty sure it does.

Since the game has been out for over a month now, I think it is safe to say that you don't get prize cars for things like A-Spec points, B-Spec points, and % completion in the game. Can someone confirm this

It's a safe bet.

I've got just a little over 5.0% done. That 5.0% includes all gold licences (which don't count towards your percentage AT ALL) and all of Mission Hall. So I've got 8500 A-spec points too...

Are they quicker then their regular counterparts?

Yeah after the oil change, the R92 came out to 950 something horses, when the regular one was 800.

It's weird though, in the quck car reference guide they're all the same hp...

mine is only 12%
I only finish IB license, and beginner hall
1/3 special condition and 1/3 professional hall
most of my time is making money, buying cars, photo mode
these are more fun for me :)

they are the same HP....the black ones are used, thus their engines have been broken in thus they have their max HP(PS). If you win/buy one from the deal with the livery on it it comes with 0kms, so even after oil changes you need to break it in.

I'm not sure of the number of kms needed to break in the engine, but it seems alot more than GT3 required. It also seems you loose HP (PS) slower and with many more KMs than in GT3.
