I read so much will go into the environments and even the roads so what about the AI crowd and the engineers in the pit? Will alot of complexity be put into the AI crowd so they appear alive? With also Engineers in the Pit physically bringing the Pit alive?

Even with the engineers in the pit working out the best strategy for you and giving you options? Because one of the things that make a race come alive is not just the track and environment but also the people there! :)

If there are seasons and road changes during the day to get it more sim like then i hope more effort can be made to also make the people alive in all areas of the race and not just nice animated objects that has no purpose in the game.

Perhaps racing with an AI team will have more meaning then right now where it feels artificial. You don't want to let them down, they have feelings, they can lose their job, get replace by someone else. And this can extend to the crowd! Your performances will affect whether alot will show up or only a little? Perhaps it will get human racers and AI all pump to see all the crowd flooding in and Tv reporters standing by. These fans will follow you around the globe and post things about you so a step beyond what has happen in Project cars 1. It just give a bit more meaning behind all the contracts and post you see on the bulletin in the 1st game.

Just idea that can be implemented for Project cars 2

Project car future idea!

Season change for trees, Physical changes on the road.

There is season change for the trees as said again so they gone to great detail to put these things in the game so why not make it more closer to what you feel on a real race course with simulating a crowd with personality? And as I said it could go also for when going into the Pit as you will see them giving thumbs up or something visual like a real person would? Wouldn't you like to be greeted in the Pits? Either by the AI or a virtual human avatar?

It works with many games that is why I showed the link of Planet coaster?

Even having pre recorded commentary in careers or you could have options to add voice in it with and even real commentary done by fans for certain events.

Its all just bringing it closer to the atmosphere of being in a real race so its a real big thing! Would you rather watch Project cars events or the real thing if it was taking place on the same date?

Just go through all the youtube videos and simulation racing games is missing this important feature.

You could have purposely built Pit crews who are active then just being animated for a pit stop. As a spectator you could just watch what the pit crew does behind the scene! It is so much about the car but wouldn't it also be great to see what goes behind the scene? Perhaps even a DLC for fans to be engineers so if they can't drive perhaps they can help out in the pit!

This is the next revolution in sim racing for developer to have this feature and make it feel your really part of your AI or human team.

Star Citizen a space futuristic flight sim is building a realistic sim universe where AI have purpose! And no other massive online space sim has done this yet so Project cars future could be like this too!

A whole world does not need to be created just more things players can do then just drive in the game! :) Spectators will really love the atmosphere as all the Ai won't just be artificial avatars. :) They will want to be part of the crowd and get involved as the next best thing to a real race course! :)

The Race course will come alive and feel alive like the real thing!

Behind the scenes

https://www.topgear.com/car-news/big-reads/what-goes-behind-scenes-formula-one-race
https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/...-scenes-images-from-rosberg-s-final-race.html

It could be a mini massive world on the race course! :) Everything happens on the race course and many things players can do to be part of the race. :) The race course will be very active for the duration of the race.

Again in project cars all the twit happening on your bulletin will feel more alive! Wouldn't you love it to have AI avatars as fans following and keeping track of you? Your driving for the fans too because it largely depends on them! You want to attract a large crowd so that could be an incentive to drive well and compete so your performances get out there! The next best thing if you can't be in a real race!

AI racers can also be real too!
That would add even more excitement and challenge if the AI has a 24/7 life! The amount you play will equal what the AI will play too. They will go around the globe competing with you and gaining experience. Just like In star citizen where they have jobs and real lives!

It will then feel very close to what it feel like being rank 1 in real life cause you been competing against't the same AI where you have associated a personality with it. The Ai won't feel like a bot but a real competitor. And that is what racing games are doing to try to make more human like so it only make sense that they have lives like in star citizen.

Project cars 2 will not have these features I requested so its for Project cars 3 or beyond as there is alot that goes into making this possible. And not even sure if the community is excited by it but I hope it will because we are playing a hardcore sim. :)

Don't think that 4 racing fans will buy the full game, just to support a friend every 45 minutes with some work in the pits just to change tires. If they like racing games, they all like to drive by themselves. And what will be, if one of them is out or forgets to come to the pits. What you want is a pit simulator not a racing game.

What you're asking for would be a ton of work for what would essentially amount to a couple of small "immersion" details. The kind of things you're asking for would take precious system resources away from the important parts of a racing sim, in order to have a more active or lifelike pit crew and crowd, which nobody would even care about or notice after having a short look at them for a minute for curiosity's sake.

What you're dreaming about here is basically not worth wasting time on until the day where we can accurately simulate everything about a car and racing, with massive grids full of AI, who are all fully dynamic and learn as they go, and with everything that could possibly affect a motor race accurately simulated. That day is probably 20 years or more away, and maybe then we'll have a game where you can watch the pit crew go back into the garage and get on with odd jobs, with one of them going to the toilet, and another going around the back of the pit complex for a smoke.

not sure if we should have groupies before or after the toilet cam

I like this preposition. You look at any other racing sim and the modeling of the track is perfect, but the atmosphere feels very dead. It doesn't detract from the simulation at all and it could really seperate the game from the rest of the souless and drab sims

Just posted in the General Thread, Ian Bell has set up a session with "Pitlane Errors" "Yes".

Sure, it's one interaction l, but AI making their own decisions, in a console racing game, may not be far off.

Will these links change your mind? As I am not asking the game to be a super machine as the technology is already here. Project cars 2 has the latest technology in the simulation so why not use the latest technology on offer for the AI?

Meet the AI Learning to kill

Forza AI Could be fix with the problems it already has to make it even more human like! So record only realistic parameters.

FORZA 5

Reddit Forza AI players review

Train AI grand Theft Auto V

IF this does not get your heart racing to want the same for Project cars 2 then something is wrong!

FORZA HORIZON 2

There is Forza Horizon 3 with the same AI but however Project 2 will still be more exciting if they do not have this. Cause the fun is in the skill of driving a hardcore sim racing game! But still be very exciting if the AI in project cars 2 can actually learn along aside you. Having experience stats like players so they start new for fresh AI drivers and learn as you play. So you have that connection with that Ai car just like with a human player.

It would be very difficult to make the AI act like a real professional driver but if it can learn and obey certain rules then its getting close and future improvements on the AI will bring it close to Professional human like qualities.

Google Deepmind AI

“We have demonstrated that it can learn tasks sequentially, but we haven’t shown that it learns them better because it learns them sequentially,” Kirkpatrick said. “There’s still room for improvement.”

Have a look at cities skyline and Planet Coaster and they all have AI with lives and its not perfect but better them sim city or cities XXL which suzu says feels dead. It will be CPU intensive if this is added on because the game already has alot of complex processing. But if it was done like Forza and it can go online then might be possible?

Its the pumping adrenaline when you have a live crowd watching you as it could be with friends in the stands? Or to make the AI crowd feel happy from your success? Not just animated crowd but crowds like in Planet coasters where they come and go.

Players want challenging AI and livetrack 3.0 so the next step is Livecrowd to take it a step closer to a real race. You don't just worry about your driving skills but you also got to factor what peoples attitude on your performances! There is already match making so why not take it further? If you become annoying to other drivers you will also annoy the mechanics and those supporting you. And that can lead you to have less endorsements and negative feedback so it helps stops the trolls. No one will employ trolls and will get ban so this is one way to stop the pointless players just hitting everyone in the race. Text are scripted but are link to living AI watching you on! You can actually meet them and know your fans! Why would this be sim 4? Its such a big huge thing for all race drivers that you will not be there with out your fans and those sponsoring you!

And with an experience ticket in Project cars 2 then you can have experience tickets for race tracks and cars and so on and with the exp you will see more crowd wanting to come and see you race. Or else if your just a newbie the stand will be empty and no one will want to notice you. If you play fair then as your progress in your career you will start to get more famous.

These tickets can also be a flag in multiplayer as they leader can see which cars your good in and if you won the respect of your workers and fans! The stats percentage is real and link to the live crowd and those behind supporting you. And the owners of setting up the multiplayer can reject or accept the detail stats they see! So its really a license to show you have been respected in the racing industry in all different types of cars.

If you drive well in an F1 but not in a road car you might not get proper invitations because you have not learnt how to master a road car.

I hope others will think of more ways this can be apply for racing because its already become so close to a real sim so don't stop with livetrack 3.0!

It does not have to be sim 5 but planet coaster is not sim 5 and they have Ai with personality as it just all about making the game even more complex and real. So you never really miss a real race again and be happy with a virtual race. Cause your getting almost everything you see in a real race so if you perceive it as real then you won't mind so much racing in this virtual world.

You could be happy just racing a particular AI and follow it to each track to try and draw closer in beating it. There could be a variety of personalities so they don't feel the same and make it feel that each AI driver is as different as a human player. And easy way to do this is to map out hundreds of players and how they driver and use that data for the personality Ai profiles. So a player will find some Ai similar to how they drive like Ghost drivers and from there the Ai can learn.

So many profiles it will never be the same again! The profile can be very complex and getting all the data from each players to see how they are affected by many types of conditions.

So not only does the AI learn but it also has complex personality profile base on other players if they like their data to be profiled on an AI. You could race against a virtual Lewis Hamilton who has almost the same skill and can learn base on several rules that makes Lewis Hamilton unique.

It could start out having a few of these and then it can grow but its all link to a LiveCrowd and all the possibilities.

AI racers won't be called AI racers any more and they will be called by name and have complex personalities that will show on the race tracks and they can even be upset if that is in their profile personality.

You have these types of personalities cause it will make you want to remember them more and want to play them more. It could be that an AI is very annoying but if it has a personality profile you might not be so upset or if you were it will give you fuel to annoy it!

Chase the AI all over each race track till you finally discover it has submitted to your dominion and becomes terrified of racing against you. It won't happen with every racer like a virtual Michael Shcmacha. Perhaps you could crash the car and well injured the driver and only received a suspension. Cause you were very famous? And now the driver is just recovering? Then the Ai driver could come back with revenge to take back the spot you stole from them. It would be a very new dynamic played and talked about online on what players attitude were with the AI. It still will be about racing but now the race becomes even more personal cause the Ai has finally discover how to get you to challenge it over and over again!

It is important cause now when you win a championship there are so many different emotions going on. Each AI has a personality, you have personally got to know each one and beaten each one and you know their feelings towards you. You have race them for over 300hours over all the tracks so you all know each other very well. So winning is more then just beating all the cars on each track and seeing them as just one huge AI. Its all been personalize like a real car driver winning a grand race. Everything just feels a little real then just being lifeless.

Everything connected all link to give more complex meaning to racing a hardcore sim.

And you don't need a super comp to experience this as its not about reaching human like complexity with the AI.

PC 2 AI, will be better than PC1. I can't wait to see what they have planned for PC3.
