Well I thought I would give the update a try tonight. After all it couldn't be worse could it? Oh yes it can. It is much, MUCH, worse now. At least for me. Spa is my go to test track. I used the BMW LMDh. On my out lap in practice or qualifying whatever the hell you want to call it, by the time I got to Stavelot I thought something doesn't feel right here. It feels like the steering wheel is barely connected to the front tires. Tires were in the good range. There should be some bite here by now but there wasn't any. Had to back off a lot at the Blanchimont kink and still went way out right over track limits. Had trouble getting it through the final chicane. If you're turning the wheel to the left it's like the car is saying, "Let me think about that for just a little bit. Ok here's just a little bit of left turn but I'm going to slide it back to the right a little if that's ok with you". At Eau Rouge, Radillion, first section of Pouhon, and that kink at Blanchimont, whichever direction you're trying to turn the car does this weird zig zag motion on the front end. A right turn at speed is more like right, left, right, left and finally right but you've lost so much speed.

AI was set at 60 which before on 60 at Spa I would qualify top 5 or so and either win by less than 5 seconds or at least finish in that top 5 somewhere. Ah those were the good old days. Here is practice/qualifying.

Over 5 seconds back in dead last place and I got that time on that last lap. That was the only lap I did that didn't have any track limit violations so I figured I better quit while I was ahead. Here was the race results. Again this was on 60. Six-Zero. One more than 59. Two 30's. 60

46 seconds back on just an 8 lap race!!! Look at the gap to 9th place. You should have seen the track map with all of those cars lined up behind me. Looked like a centipede. You know how many times it took me to finish this ?? 9 TIMES!!! Nine restarts. I crashed it 8 times because the car is impossible to drive. I crashed it twice at La Source, twice at the final chicane, 3 times at second part of Les Combes because after turning right it just wouldn't go back left and kept drifting out to the right and spun out, and once at Stavelot.

I just don't know what to do with this game anymore. I was going to try out the GT3 again but I RAN OUT OF TIME!!!!! because it too me so long to finish the stupid LMDh.
Were you using the default tune? I imagine any earlier tunes have been invalidated...

The truth my friend is that they spend time make dlc because they want make money until the end of one year dlc. After that the game is over. They don't spend time trying fixe the several problems the game have. Aris is just work in fisic to gt3 gt4 and lmdh and going nowhere. Yes I spend 200 hours i suport the game but somewhere after update 2.0 I realize that the game never will be fixed. Just a couple of dlc to make some money and that is game over

This is why I am waiting. If I see support after all dlc is released then I will reconsider this.

Maybe by Christmas we can have some decent multiclass racing.
Ideally a stable grid size of at least 32 would be great. But if they somehow need to compromise in certain areas to make the game run right and can at least achieve a grid size of 24 like FM then that wouldn't be bad either. 16 is just not cutting it for a racing sim that has multi-class racing on new console hardware.

From experience in PC2, multiclass is best with only two classes. And you needed to spend a LOT of time fine tuning the AI strength so you don't walk away with the class or get left behind.

You also need to get intimately familiar with how the AI think... learn the corners that they will just plow into you and places they won't.

But I had a lot of fun in the slower class, being aware of approaching faster cars, figuring out how to let them pass without losing out to my class's drivers. Being in the top class wasn't as much fun, the lower class AI were too unaware of faster cars.

In fairness, it's tough to run PMR's (or PC2's) far more advanced tire and handling model compared to FM and get their grid sizes. But with patience, setting up an 8x8 grid can still be fun...

Coming back to the game with the newest updates and latest hype. I love Aris and didn't know he joined the team. I learned it through YouTube videos that the algorithm suggested for me

If feels great but I still can't get over only 16 cars on track during career mode.

I believe someone had posted that they are working on adding more cars to the grid on console

So unable to resist the lure of the early 2000s GT1s in a Xbox game i brought this. Just did some laps around Mosport in the Aston DBR9. I'm quite surprised by how controller friendly it is. I remember ACC wasn't anywhere as enjoyable with controller. It's a good start.
Don't know if it is still available but the Lotus GT1 at Donington Park in the time trial section is good fun and might fit to you...

30-40 car grids on console sounds a bit ambitious, but I hope they figure it out.
Still sounds like they are chasing a PC audience that is very unlikely to appear, given the competition.
Yeah, hopefully they can figure out the bigger console grids. Also, I still feel like they should focus more on console since that's where their biggest potential market is in my opinion.

The last update 2.1 and 2.2 made the g29 ffb much worse on ps5, imo. The only way I can see this game being salvaged is if they significantly improve the single player modes. Right now, and since launch really, time attack and the driver factory mode are the only ones worth playing on console. Arguably they are worse now with the changes to the ffb.

The lmdh actually feel good to drive now. So that's something.

Is the dlc confirmed to be released on the 15 of this month?

Yesterday, when I saw looked up the specs for the Historic USV8 cars, Google mentioned released date for the V8 Power Pack as September 15. For some reason, I thought it was September 2.

I know this is off topic from the interview but I wanted to ask everyone to see if anyone else is having this issue or its just me. I'm on PS5 and ever since the N-GT class got updated a while back, I haven't been able to brake properly without instantly locking up. I used the default setups and I'm not able to go more than about 30-50% brake without locking up, regardless of the corner. I don't know if its an issue with the class or if im missing something in terms of how to drive them now and wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this.
