all beautiful the weather and surface model of wet track... but i remember live track 3.0 in project cars 2 and automobilista 2, the killing puddles and the Ai not affected with career bugged and wet race unplayable... i wish this time its finally working....

The car class and roster is coming along nicely and really surprised to see the Toyota LMH being thrown in. Makes me wonder if we will could possibly see Ferrari and Peugeot in the future as well.

To go along with car roster, I do hope beyond the earlier mentioned car pack expansions coming we also get added cars to a few classes. IMSA GTO for example would fill out nicely if they also add the yellow and blue Chevy Baretta, the Whistler Mustang and the Nissan 300zx Cunningham racing. The early LMP class could fill out with the Audi R8R, Bentley speed 8 and the Ferrari 333SP.
I think it's possible these could show up since they were regulars throughout Project Cars, but would be placed in the current LMP class alongside the Audi & the Panoz.

Confirmed. Final class is Porsche cup.

It's not a deal breaker for me, but the wheel animation in the game so far is very odd, almost like Forza's where it transitions into a different model in motion. It doesn't look this way in previous PC titles, so I want to assume it's still just WIP.

The C5.R, Cadillac LMP02, and that GTO Camaro all look appealing, and make taking the jump at launch a little more attractive. Was planning on waiting for a Christmas sale or something and hoping some more mods would be available and some early bugs worked out.
2 Porsche cups taking up two classes is a little let down. Would have been better if they were combined into one Porsche cup and then a sub selection for the 964 version. But still not a bad roster otherwise so far
I dunno, they are so different from each other that I don't mind too much, and I say that being someone who normally doesn't care for Porsches much. While they are in a lot of games and all over the world and therefore not very "unique" or something, current Porsche Supercup is at least more different than stuff like Ferrari Challenge/Lambo Super Trofeo in that it doesn't have TCS and stuff, lower downforce, etc. Will be interesting to compare how far the series has come too, the 964 was a pretty sane car in terms of stats but also kinda quirky, and modern Porsche Cup cars are very fast and tricky cars, with many considering them much more difficult than the GT3 cars above them on the ladder.

With the game being leaned a little towards more "vintage" (although it feels weird to call cars from the early 2000's "vintage"), getting vintage spec classes would be cool, not just to fit the theme but also the style of racing from the era with less assists, older tires, and generally a bit less downforce than modern cars. The Ferrari F355 Challenge cars were really good in PC2, easily better than the modern Ferrari Challenge cars in terms of close racing, and would be a really good fit too.

I'm worried a little after seeing some of the latest videos, like from traxion, that it is more of a simcade in handling.
That would be fine by me. My worry the whole time has been that the game would be too sim and too hard on a pad.
Simcade is great for a console game, and the console userbase will likely make up the majority of the sales.

Agreed. That's why I never bought any of the Assetto Corsa games.

I originally planned to wait for a sale, but I'm weak. :)

I agree with both @Nebuc72 and @Fezzik . I haven't seen anything to suggest that this isn't leaning heavily to the sim side, I don't think it's simcade at all (and boy I have an irrational hatred of that term).

But, on the other hand, even if it was, so what?

From what I can make out, it's very much a sim, in the vein of ACC and beyond (as has been stated by Devs in the Discord). But, it has had a lot of care and attention put into the way it feels on a controller to make sure it isn't alienating the likes of @Fezzik and myself who want to play and experience the simulation of these cars, but it actually be playable, and not just playable, but enjoyable on a gamepad which will be the predominant device input for this game on the whole.

It is possible to have both things, that doesn't make something simcade or whatever dodgy term people want to use to describe it.

Well i understand that, but for me at least, being on console, with a wheel, and preferring hardcore sim style, I'd be disappointed.

You can't go by what devs say so much afterall..
It's like pc2, it's very detailed, fun racing game, but at the limit, it doesn't feel full sim.
And I'm worried this will be same.

Also, the ai in some traxion videos makes it doubtful that it will be that well adjusted, saw lots of messing up, slowing down to a halt, being too slow for it's class etc.

And the console version shown on traxion was with no ai, which makes me doubt it is optimized enough.
I hope I'm wrong..
Also i doubt a game can be both pad friendly and a full sim.
I know I'll get flak for this, oh well.
Fingers crossed..

Same with nascar25, could be fun but not a full sim either I'd guess.
Peace ✌.

I am with you. Now my wife is like don't buy anything you want because it might show up at Christmas 🤣 So I have a few games I'm looking at and I am sure whatever I decide to buy she will get the same thing unknowingly for me at Christmas

The thing with NASCAR 25 is they made it absolutely clear that it wasn't a full sim.

I'd still be interested to understand what you don't think 'looks' full sim or simcade about it though.

Im not sure how sim vs arcade even persists outside of ego fluff, there's just not enough driving games to deny yourself any of them. Im feening so much for some new digital driving I will gladly try anything right now, hope project motor racing scratches the insatiable itch.

Yh, i just thought at 1st since n25 was coming from iracing that it be a more full sim title, not that i put iracing as top sim, i can't say.
But like i said, i find nascar heat 4 really fun so I'm not totally adverse to more approachable either.
About pmr well, just seems too easy a little to be so fast, like the Saleen s7 is a hard car to master I'd guess, but in videos it's going so fast, so stable, idk, maybe it's the player/dev playing that is just so good, and or settings and setup used.

I think there's a vid of a miata at Sebring too that shows it be surprisingly stable in that so bumpy track.
Also some impressions from sim sites/ channels seem to say that too.

But, i got a too negative view of ea wrc at 1st and for a while because of video uploaders showing chosen clips, that made it look worse than it was too.
Some uploaders will say a game is ruined just for 1 thing they dislike about it, etc.

And i ended really liking it, even if not perfect.
So I'm glad if my worries are wrong.

And i love the content and features up to now, of pmr, and it does look great fun, immersive, so i hope you're right and it will be satisfying for most of us.
Normal to have ups and downs impressions when seeing a new game you know can be so cool..
We'll see, i hope we can have a demo, that'd be nice.

More i read, the more i hope psvr2 support will be on the way. Its going to suck reading about this one and not being able to play.

I feel like you're punishing yourself by sticking to PS5. It's just not where the market is for VR - both PSVR's have tried and failed to capture it on console, it's just not there and clearly not worth the pursuit by dev teams.
If it's that important to you, it's a gimmick where you unfortunately need to chase it, rather than expect it to come to you.

Games are subjective. As long as it does the basics well, then it should be fun.

Am I seeing wrong or this will be (a lot) better game then Rennsport?

They are launching in separate of only two weeks and I can buy only one, for now.

Rennsport seems to be severely lacking in content for me. PMR is ticking the boxes for me coz it’s has lot of classic cars and the latest hypercars. Also, the track list has a lot of circuits i’ve not had the chance to try before

So far it looks like Rennsport only wins in graphics and polish, maybe physics slightly...maybe?That's really all I see.

MS8
The biggest differences that PMR and Rennsport has is the single player part.
I think there is no single player part in Rennsport.
And this is perfect example of the issue in trying to sell a game solely on you having cars everyone wants and nothing else: That novelty WILL wear off and once people are trying to find something else interesting to do, they'll see it for the desolate bare bones product it really is.
