Don't know what happened to the other 2 licensed mod vehicles they mentioned a while back.

Yeah Wondered that too, nothing has been added since the early access content went live just before release and I haven't even seen any of the tools published for content creation.

First user created and published mod has hit the ModHub.

I’m hoping people start making some custom championships soon.

I’d planned on making some championships to replicate some historical races but my pc has died and my laptop is a chromebook so doesn’t support notepad++

This is what the XML files look like for career events. Seems pretty straight forward as long as you know what the target files are called in game.

Do you know what parameter to use for enabling weather deviation?
I'm afraid not, and none of the parameters in the file look like they control deviation.

First car mod outside of the official stuff has landed, using the pre-existing MX-5 and equipping it with the V8 from the Morgan N-GT.

Those GT4 F1 cars are pretty neat to drive!
Six GT4 cars with F1 styled engine swaps. V8, V10 and V12 options all on offer, and they all have a bit more tuning on offer to accommodate the extra power (Didn't try this out myself though, they're pretty fun to wrangle out of the box!)

The mods that built AC into the behemoth it has become weren't liveries. They were mods to the BASIC GAME. Sol (lighting), new cars, physics or FFB improvements, new tracks, weather, AI improvements, free roam, two way traffic, the list goes on and on.

Assetto Corsa is where it is because it had an incredibly talented development team work on the game FOR FREE for over ten years!

Liveries? Who cares..? Who's playing console AC much these days? No mods, no game...

If Ian Bell wants to fire the majority of his dev team but not go down in flames, he needs to open more to modding than just cosmetics.

The game is fully moddable on pc. On console you can’t open the game fully, so the modhub has its limit, but tracks and cars mods are allowed.

Can PC mod cars and tracks be d/l'd by consoles?
Is that a theoretical possibility or has anyone created totally new tracks and cars yet? What are the licensing issues?

Crossplay is essential to building a large enough racing community for the game to not wither. But if PC tracks and cars don't make it to consoles that's going to fracture the base.

Cars and tracks made on pc can be dowloaded on console if they were submitted on the modhub and accepted by the studio. The Praga is an exemple of that. Not sure how they handle licensing.

No one outside of Straight4 has made a car or track mod so far (other than engine swapped cars), but it’s mostly due to the fact that it’s hard work and interest in the game is low at the moment.
