Dumb question, how did you handle the oil tank valve to not flood the engine with oil when off?

Maserati used a vacuum operated ball valve of sorts. I was thinking of an electrical setup of some sort.
To be honest, that's a little beyond my level of understanding :dunce:

Between the remote reservoir and the engine there's the pump, oil filter and oil cooler. I believe the pump feeds the engine with a pressurised oil feed so when 'off' the stationary pump, which is powered by either the crank or cam, will be holding back any further flow of oil.

I also don't know in what way production road-going dry sump systems differ to one designed purely for track use. I'd imagine a road car system would be a little more complicated due to it needing to run under a wider range of operating enviroments.

I got the reinforcement plates drawn up, I just need to get them over to send cut send or someone else. I'd really like them to be done in strenx, but none of the companies that have those services offer it as an option.

I'll figure something out.

Here is a quick teaser of what I'm thinking.
