Have Prologue (and GT 1,2 and 3) bugs been repaired to newest gt4 demo?

For example when you drive very low car (Le Mans cars) , you can see front tyres throught panels. Second bug, wheels are not circle shaped, they have little angles.

So have these bugs been repaired?

Are you serious?
The wheels are made out of polygons, so they will have angles. :dunce:

Some wheels do pop through the panels, but i doubt PD went back and flared all the arches and wings on those cars, to allow for suspension travel, it seemed to occur less in Prologue but does still occur.

i think they did go back and fix that cuz i dont know if you guys know but they are using a diffrent engine systme now so they had to redesign all the cars from the scratch.

It still occured in Prologue with the re-modelled cars.

Polygon artifacts can't be considered as "bugs". A bug or a system bug is an unwanted feature in the system, like if you press R1+L2,wait 0.1 sec and then press Left 5 times very fast, then the screen will flicker, like that. (Don't try that at home, it was just taken from the blue).

However, I do believe, after seeing replays in intensive scenes (like the one in the demo where the Ford GT40 passes the city hairpins in citta della), that the graphic engine works 99,999% of the true capacity of the PS2. Sometimes in replay, you can almost feel the frame-lag coming.

You have to agree that it is a pity that the most advanced, the most thorough and the most well made computer game in the history known to man, is based on a 4 years old computer processing core.

As for the push-through of the wheels, I think that's just a result of an incomplete version of the game, without the later refinements to the physics and suspension settings.

A good example would be the Lancia Stratos and Stratos Rally Car in GT3. I added them to my garage through MK's program, along with a couple hybrids, and the Lamborghini and Porsche. But those two Stratos's are clearly not "finished", as they have very bad push-through on every turn and whenever you hit the brakes. My guess is that they were scrapped earlier in development, before all the refinements had been made, and were buried in the code in their incomplete form, never meant to actually be driven. To my knowledge, those are the ONLY two cars in GT3 that have any "push-through" errors. We know how much of a perfectionist KY is, I doubt he'll let that slip in the final version of the game. Prologue, Concept, all the demos.. they're all incomplete builds, not exact to the final product, and I'm confident all that will be fixed in the final version. The Stratos will probably be the best way to test it on the final game, since that car has a very shallow wheelwell in the front.

As for the segmentation on the wheels... There's no way around that. They can only use so many polygons for the in-game models. To make the wheels perfectly round with no visible segmentation would mean they would have to have hundreds, if not thousands, of polygons per wheel. And that's simply not an option. If you really need to see it, I can whip up a low-poly and high-poly wheel in CG to show you the difference.

OMFGWTF OH NOES!!! A slight graphics glitch thats apparent in just about every racing game! SHOCK HORROR. Gt4 will probs have them too. So what? Every game has some form of graphical flaws.

No one cares.

And the wheels not being perfectly round, well i'm not even gonna comment on that, that's being ridiculous.

Fixed.

Different engine system...ok....sure...I guess you actually meant to say "I have no idea".
