I know there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not GT4 will include visual body kit/areo parts for cars..... well as an owner of a Honda S2000 I usually look at GT4 pics of my car very carefully......

In the latest build of GT4 the S2000 seems to have sprouted a black front lip which is not shown on the standard car model in GT4:P.

Why is this proof of a body kit mod?..... well the S2000 doesn't come as standard with a front lip but you can order the lip as an add-on.

As far as I know (and I know the S2000 VERY well! ;)) there are no different official versions of the S that would include the extra front lip as standard so I'm left wondering if this is proof of a modification?...... although the new model could be a Mugen or Spoon version.

I know we won't know until the game come out but to me this suggests visual body kits may be on the cards!

Sorry if this has already been spotted!

That is not proof, that just hint's an S2000 that has a lip and the possibilty of a seperate one that doesn't, as far as kit's go the only thing we know is the KY said some cars will have body kit's, he was probably referring to the return of the race mods but we don't know for sure.

it's the factory body kit that honda factory performance (no not mugen) adds.

you can get it like that from the dealer. go to honda .com and see for yourselfs

That car on the second picture is most likely the Amuse S2000, which has a carbon fiber front lip, being pretty much the only external difference between it and the normal car.

Yeah, I was about to say that. :grumpy:

Yes it could be...... but I'd expect the number plate to show something other than S2000?....... I can't remember but didn't the Spoon and Mugen S2000s in GT3 have number plates that said so?

They changed the Design of the AP1 S2000. The pictures you posted are the AP2 S2000.

Sorry to appear dim but what is AP1 and AP2? I know the front bumper changed between the 2002 and 2003 models (I have a 2002) is that what you mean?......

Both of the pictures I posted were of the revised 2003 version :indiff:

There was an Amuse S2000 that had underbody mods but looked stock exept for the front lip, I think the AP1 was the earlier Amuse S2000 and the AP2 is the more recent one in the pic.

it is also possible that in the second picture, the camera is below the level of the bottom of the front bumper, and you are seeing the bottom of the bumper, I.E. the splash shield.

No thats not it, greyout. It's quite clearly a carbon lip on the car.

If that is a body kit (which I highly doubt) it is so close to that of the original car that it is hardly noticeable. This may or may not be a good thing because we dont want another NFSU but if body kits are included they should change the appearance of the car more than that shown in the two pictures.

Here is a pic of both standard S2000 and the Amuse.

You can clearly see the Amuse has the lip and the standard S2000 doesnt.

Don't think that I'm trying to kiss ass, but I agree with Eagle. I wonder if someone will come up with a thread like this talking about differences between a 1969 Camaro and a Yenko Camaro from the same decade. I'm not attacking this thread, but you have heard of the chances of tuner cars into GT4, right? Because one car gets a mod look to it doesn't mean you can't jazz up a Type-R Civic to have a high-downforce GT wing, a carbon-fiber hood, and that signature "race car" look. Now don't get me wrong. I have respect for tuner cars and modded cars, everything from Altezza-style tail lights (like on the Trial Celica, in a way), and stuff like that, but I just do not think that you can jazz up your car to be like the Trial Celica or the 350Z S-Tune (or whatever it's called).
