I'm having a tough time with my take offs. I've been doing time trials in MT mode. I have the Logitech G27 with the H shifter and clutch and have been practicing ever since I got it. But I cannot seem to launch the car perfectly. Do i put it in Neutral and then go WOT at redline and then shift into 1st? What's the best way to launch the car off the line for perfect speed and take off with the most amount of power?

Put the gear in 1st, while holding the clutch. Rev to around 1/3 of the engine's RPM (trial and error) wait for the countdown. Half-clutch, floor the gas and slowly release the clutch as you gain speed. You might want to shift up as soon as possible, but don't rush and drop the clutch. You'll probably lose RPM, or burnout and lose control or something.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast=)
