This is not a replacement to the C3 club. It's a new version of Pros/Cons of your daily driver. ;) Anyone's welcome to post here. Post pics if you have them. Me first:

Car: 1999 Mercury Sable GS

Pros:

extremely comfortable inside
power everything
decent peformance even with base engine
large trunk
appears to have been well maintained by previous owner
I looked the Sable up on the internet and reliability is good.
decent gas mileage
engine sounds cool when revved above 3000 RPM
ice cold AC/boiling heat
a big upgrade from my first car
cruise control
plenty of room in back seat for other people
good factory sound system
Edit: The car no longer has Michelin tires on it as it got 4 new tires today. 👍

Cons:

doesn't have Duratec V6 :grumpy:
has legendary Ford features (it's basically a Ford Taurus w/ Mercury badges on it)
the battery probably needs replacing soon
brake pedal feels spongy, although the brakes work fine

Overall:

It's 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times better than my first car, a 2000 Daewoo Lanos S Hatchback *sold :) . *

Truck: 2003 Blazer Xtreme

Pros:
Ultra cool looking
Low to the ground
Can corner on a dime
Good customization market
I'm the only owner
Can haul stuff easily
Not many problems with it
Can tow my dirt bikes
Expensive looking while in fact it was cheaper
Expensive sound system
Chicks dig it

Cons:
Gas mileage sucks
It's slow as hell
Needs 5 seats over 4
Interior rattles quite a bit
Gets hated on all the time

Overall:
It's a love/hate relationship between me and my truck.

2005 Ford Excursion:
Pros:
6.0 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel is very tractable, makes good power from 1500 RPM's
Room for Eight large people. (and their gear, inside, not on the roof)
Still gets almost 20 MPG (Hey it weighs over 4 tons.)
Diesel is currently cheaper than gas.
80 MPH, at 2000 RPM.
Has that new car smell
Got it for about 10 grand under MSRP.
Very intimidating to those other drivers that act like they own the road.
Handles well, if the road is wide enough, and the curves aren't too acute.
Cons:
It has about a 50 foot turning circle
It's hard to see smaller cars on the right when they get too close
It's not that easy to park.
Have to turn it off in the drive thru line to be heard.

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX

Pros:
AWD
227HP
Competition-bred handling
4 doors, with actual usable back seats
Looks great
5spd
Great ride height, nice wheels, etc
Good stock stereo, w/ 6CD changer in dash
Cold A/C
Supportive seats
Nice pedals
Mega fog lights

Cons
Gas mileage is only average
requires 91 octane
Insufficent lumbar support on seats
5spd can be a hassle in traffic
Dim high beams
Crap tires
Understeer
Understeer
Understeer
Understeer
etc.

I think I've done this already. I might have stopped before actually posting it though, it's pretty sad.
1984 (nov '83) Toyota Celica Supra GTS
Cons!:
-alternator and battery dead
-smashed front end=
--is ugly
--frame is bent
--drivers door only opens about a quarter of the way
--possible allignment issues
--front right tire rubs the flare when turning left
-interior in bad(ish) shape from the last owner
-many rust spots
-Pyramid tape deck
-burns oil (lots)
-automatic
-7 things to put on the hubs, consisting of two kinds of wheels (5 stock, 2 hidious AR), and three kinds of tires. Not even just three brands, three different widths.
-225/60/14 is an impossible tire size to find, especially cheap (see above)
-engine's kinda wheezy
-muffler is removable with no tools. Or effort. Without constant rewedging into place, it will almost fall off and flap around embarassingly.
-I'm 6'2", so it holds a maximum of 3 people. Unless the fourth has no legs.
-the power locks are psychotic.

Pros:
-Surprisingly fast. (unfortunatly, the people I surprise drive old Civics, Geo Storms, or brand new Kias.)
-very comfortable
-Supra!
-Handles rather well
-Digital dash
-huge upgrade potential
-It was a top-of-the-line GT when it came out. So; power everything, AC, sunroof, decent speakers, many-way adjustable drivers seat, etc.
-edit: forgot, several people have told me that my rusty mufflerless straight pipe sounds better then their full catback and expensive muffler. And y'know what? It does!

Logically speaking, I should cut my losses and run, this car is a very broken bastard. That's probably not going to happen, because I like it anyway.

edit: Oh, pictures are here and here. It's the one that looks like my avatar, but smashed.

1991 Cadillac DeVille

Pros -
Fast
Surprisingly decent handler
Sleeper value
Chicks dig it
Power everything
Italian leather
It holds six people
It holds six more in the trunk
It's got a giant fuel tank...

Cons -
It's got a giant fuel tank...That likes to be filled with premium only
15mpg average
Stuff breaks because of the car's age, and is expensive to fix
Most of the stock stuff was broken when I got it too
Cops think I'm a drug dealer
It's longer than a H2 (I'm not joking)

2004 Nissan Altima 2.5S

Pros:

good design
aftermarket rims/z-rated Dunlops
good (stock)stereo system
good manual transmission
great (poor man's)engine 175hp/180lbs torque/23 mpg average
solid construction
perfect steering wheel w/stereo, cruise control, computer controls
front wheel drive

Cons:

cheap interior
4cyl. engine
over 7 dings and scratches(people who do this to other people should get hit by a bus)
no HID/Xenon
poor handling/cornering
front wheel drive

Photo of my car

Nah... let's keep this one...

Car:
380665_22_full.jpg

Ford Lynx RS (nee: Mazda Protege MP3/ SP20, whatever the hell it's called where you live)

Pros:
-quick-ish
-terrific steering for a front-wheel driver
-great handling/roadholding
-not terribly expensive
-good radio, good AC
-good lumbar support, great control ergonomics
-pretty rare... (just like MP3) actually, very rare... total sales volume of MT variant probably less than 500
-looks kinda nice... at least, that's part of why we bought it
-fairly decent fuel economy

Cons:
EDIT: (I'd say it has the worst transmission... but I've driven dozens of cars that are worse... let's just say she's a little hesitant to get it on sometimes...)
-slow in a straight-line (tops out at 210)
-eats gas quickly if you're trying to have fun
-too rare, must get parts from the dealership
-seats won't hold you in if you're cornering hard... even if the tires aren't complaining yet
-scratch magnet... :ouch:
-noisy over potholes

1994 Honda Civic LX Sedan

Pros:

-Great Mileage for its time (32ish city)
-Dependable

Cons:

-Slow
-Everyone has a Civic in my area
-Slow
-Ricer

2000 Subaru Outback Limited

Pros
• Greatest-sounding engine ever (boxer)
• Manual
• Working A/C (unlike the Ranger)
• 6-CD changer
• Dual moonroofs
• Stitched leather wheel and shifter
• Holds all sorts of crap (wagon)
• Looks innocent enough to the police
• Seat heaters (keep my butt toasty during the winter)
• Side mirror and wiper heaters (again, excellent during the winter)
• Electronically-adjustable side mirrors
• Headlights automatically turn off when key taken out of ignition (good for me, because I’m very forgetful about that – I’ve killed the Ranger’s battery twice because I forgot to to turn off the headlamps)

Cons
• Can’t leave it in fifth when going up the Grapevine, unless I’m going at least 75 MPH (which is impossible with the number of idiots who slow down when going up that grade)
• No torque below 3500 RPM
• Synchros aren’t working too well – difficult to shift into first
• Cheap vinyl coverings on seats – gets bloody hot in the summer, friggin’ cold in the winter
• Cheap, overly shiny fake wood reflects sunlight like a mirror
• Fog lights don’t do s***

Currently have two:

1987 4th Gen. Toyota Celica 1.6GT (It's for sale)

Pros:

Looks great, but that is just my opinion.
Not that bad mileage.
125hp for an N/A 1.6l 20 year old engine.
Nearly 100k miles on the clock and no problems whatsoever.
IS faster than any 1.9 VW TDI :D
Good road holding.
Guys dig it!
Great driving position.
Large trunk.
The engine sounds great at 7000rpm :)

Cons:

The warning lights in the dashboard are directly behind the steering wheel arches, you can't see them!
Seats are awful (but surprisingly comfy)
FWD
Understeer if you apply to much throttle on a corner.
Oversteer if you enter a corner too fast.
Only seats 4, and the 2 in the back have no space.
S*itty, antenae (Toyota doesn't really know how to make them, they stop receiving after 10 to 15 years, and stop working if you're underground. It has been like this in any Toyota I've ever been, and I have been in every single one of the European market.)
Clutch length could be a bit shorter.
Chicks ignore it completely! They think it's a stupid car and just to show off! They are much more interested in my Dad's Land Cruiser :(

1986 Toyota Supra 3.0i (No, no turbo) :(

Pros:

Looks great, but that is just my opinion.
Mileage.... crappy in the city! But ok on the rest of the roads.
200hp for an 3.0 N/A 20 year old engine. Not exactly good, but not that bad either.
Bought it for about 800$. It needeed some repairs of course but nothing too dramatic.
Good road holding. Those fat tyres help, it also has double-wishbone suspension in all 4 wheels.
Guys dig it!
Great driving position.
Interior is much better than I expected, everything is well placed and large.
Love the seats, they have electric lombaar support (or something like that)
Large trunk and even though it's longer and wider than the celica the trunk isn't as big.... because it's,
RWD.
The engine sounds great at low rpms. Almost silent in higher revs.

Cons:

Old car, has no value.
Steering Wheel is ugly, although I like the cruise control switches on it.
Too heavy: 1500kgs
Will kill you in slippery roads.
Only seats 4, and the 2 in the back have no space.
S*itty, antenae :(
Chicks still ignore it! They're reaction isn't as negative as in the Celica though.

Car: 2002 Ford Taurus

Pros:

extremely comfortable inside
power everything
decent peformance even with base engine
large trunk
appears to have been well maintained by previous owner
decent gas mileage
engine sounds cool when revved above 3000 RPM
ice cold AC/boiling heat
cruise control
plenty of room in back seat for other people
good factory sound system
Smooth
Quite
good brakes

Cons:

doesn't have Duratec V6
No Aftermarket
Not as much leg room as old car.
weird shape
wider, longer than old car

1. The Tragic Wagon (1992 Lexus SC 300)

Pros:

It's a Lexus
2JZ Powah!!!1!
It's quite fast
Power Everything(that's still working..)
Right Front Turn signal works
Both back Turn signals work
good stereo
Decent Gas mileage
There's a totally Gangsta Phone in the console compartment that's connected to the car by a cord. (00b3r tyt3!) It's like an ultra rare cell phone +5!

Cons:

It's a 2JZ-GE, (still good, but not the all destroying GTE)
Broken Tweeter
Automatic
Broken Driver's mirror
Dent in passenger's side
Someone Keyed it -twice. :grumpy:
One working regular beam headlight, One working High beam headlight.
Left turn signal turns the left front foglight on.
CD Player broken
Brakes Crunch

It's still a great car.

Just for the hell of it, I'll list the pros and cons of My Chevy - It's not done yet..

1960 Chevy Biscayne

Pros:
It's extremely cool.
It's a 60.
Fish Fins.
Bullet Taillights.
Dummy Spots
SmallBlock Power
HUGE back seat:sly:
Not seen much anymore(that year)
Every light works better than every light in the Lexus.
Huge Steering wheel
Bose speakers(when I get around to putting them in)
B&M Megashifter
EdelBrock Intake & Carburetor
Chrome..... Lots and lots of Chrome.

Cons:
Trunk lip is kinda bent
Smallblock fuel consumption (it's a 305, it'll get better mileage than the 6 cylinder it used to have got.)I expect it to be around 17-23, depending on how and where I drive it.
No power steering - lots of work turning!
No A/C -Maybe in the future
All around drums
It's a big car... I have no intention of parallel parking it.
Needs new Biscayne script fender emblems -I can't find any anywhere.

1998 Taurus SE

Pros

CHEAP!
Power everything
Nothing major has broken
Has the Duratec! (haha to the Vulcan engines in this thread)
Relatively comfortable
Smooth easy ride on the highway (where i do a lot of driving)
Lots of room

Cons
No CD player
Rear driver side window wont go down (no power to it)
The interior panels dont fit right. Warping all over the place
No aftermarket
Funkyish styling
Dual exhaust with turndown tips are butt ugly
Not gonna be worth a damn thing when I'm finished with it, which means I'll have it till it dies (even if I get a new car).

'92 Subaru Legacy GT

Pros:
200 hp 2.0 turbo
Boxer rumble 👍
4WD...grip=good
Leather
Awesome Alpine head unit
Mega handling...compared to my old car
Mundane 4 door body...awesome sleeper
Aftermarket thats larger than the market itself.

Cons:
Economy- not the greatest
Black- biotch to keep clean
Numerous dents and scrapes
Cops hate me, and I really mean HATE.
****ty speakers that would kill me without the head unit

Verdict: For what it is, a bloody awesome car thats a lot quicker than the numbers suggest.
