This thread is to do with saying what you think the pro's and con's of different cars are. This thread is similar to the 'Rate A Car (GT4 Revised)' thread, but is about saying pro's and con's of cars instead of giving them ratings. the only rule is that you must think of at least 3 pro's and 3 con's for the car you've chosen. i'll do an example first.

Suzuki Escudo Dirt Trial Car

Pro's

Accelerates very quickly

very powerful

good torque

Con's

Spoiler can block vision

comparatively low top speed by comparison to it's power

is difficult to control

next up, Toyota Carina ED 2.0 4WS
GO!

I was about to make a thread like this. :)

Toyota Carina - Pro's :dopey:

Atleast it can drive.

Twin Muffler Tips.

Can do over 100MPH atleast.

Con's :trouble:

F.U.G.LY.! :yuck:

Only 2 wheels steer, and all for of them are supposed to.

Can't be made to look sexy. :ouch:

Next up: Honda Civic Type-R. What do ya think? 👍

Honda Civic Type-R

Pro's: -

Great for tuning

Good handling, so everyone from experts to noobs can use them

They do look cool...

Cons: -

The awful whine it makes when you're flooring it at low speed

If you tune it up too much you'll have to get your tuning manual out to fix the understeer

Chavs drive them

Next up!! The Lister Storm Race Car, because I havent driven it yet and would like to know what people think!!

Lister Storm Race Car

Pro's
- Lots of power
- Good looks
- Rear wheel drive

Cons
- Weighs more that USS Essex
- Tyre life
- Endurance value due to the two mentioned before

Now, let's make this worth thinking... how about Honda Z Act?

- R -

Honda Z Act (Actually driven this car...anyway for the pro's and cons')

Pro's -

- Funny in two player mode when you are up against a Dodge Ram pick up and smash it head on at speed. This car flies due to its low speed and lightweight.
- Because of its spec, it can handle most corners in full throttle so not much braking is required.
- Brakes are pretty good in stock form.
- Will make nice smoke trails when you apply the handbrake and throttle together.

Con's

- Will get whipped by the AC and Shelby 427 cars if its in the lineup or anything more powerful.
- Body roll is a little unpredictable if you push it too much in cornering.
- Very slow, it has a gearbox lag and you probably get stuck at 50-60mph on most of the time when cornering and at full throttle. 1st gear lasts up till 50mph, 2nd gear lasts up until 80-82mph and its top speed is limited to about 90mph (in stock form) so you will have 3 gears to play and use 1st and 2nd nearly all of the time.
- You lose speed when going up hill even if you press the X button all the time. If you lose speed and you are up a steep hill you cannot go up because of its low power.
- Not good for tracks with high elevation and you will get stuck if you cannot get anything out from this car (good luck in getting out of a mess and it will roll down the a hill if the handbrake and brakes are not applied)
- This car is hard to buy, you have to buy it used (you cannot buy it new) and it is not worth the money to do a ridigity refresh.
- It is not the most good looking car in GT to look at and the red and yellow colours do not look nice.

mmmm.....ok next up a Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car (Not the Race Car) The Pro's and Con's for this car.

Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car

+ Good color
+ Has Power
+ Rides nice and low

- A little Big
- Understeer when pushing it a little
- Takes awhile to get from the Lot

Next Is the Honda Integra DC5

Honda Integra Type-R '03 (DC5)

Pros:

- Yes Virginia, it has a wing!
- Nice handler in stock form, and with little to no power mods.
- More colors than just white.
- Temporarily pacifies the JDM Honda crowd for at least 5 minutes, because it isn't for sale in North America.

Cons:

- Handles like crap with Driver's Aids on...
- ...But you get wheel-wheel-wheel-spin when you put more than 250 horses in it and you accelerate from a hairpin with aids completely off.
- Eats front tires during all meals, even between breakfast and brunch.

Next: Lancia Delta Evoluzione '91

Honda Integra DC5:
Pro's

- One of the most DANGEROUS FF's out there, ready to crush the competition fully modded.

- It's an FF that can handle over 400HP.

- It won the Tuning Car Championship fully modded, against the AI cars which some had downforce and over 500HP!

- Great sound, stock or modded.

- Sexy.

- Touring Car model of this car is available.

- Can easily do over 215MPH with a little over 450HP.

Con's

- It's an FF.

- It has the burnout ability near that of a TVR Speed 12 and added Downforce on Racing Tires when fully modded.

- To tell you the truth, I can't tell you another Con. :(

EDIT: Someone beat me to it while I was posting. :)

Lancia Delta HF Integrale:
Pro's

- One great car to use for the rallies when tuned.

- 4WD, so grip never disappears during acceleration.

- Pretty unique and cool hatchback.

Con's

- BORING stock.

- Feels sort of heavy when driving.

- Powerband falls a while before redline.

Next up: Lotus Motorsport Elise. I love it because it is quick, manueverable, and available in British Racing Green. What are your opinions?

Lotus Motorsport Elise
Prose:
(I'm not gonna write a paragraph here)
!.It has nice colors
@. Very Light
#. Oversteers well
Cons:
!. Weird shaped lights
@. Wheelbase seems a little long for the smaller car
#. Underpowered, sort of.

Next up, Yellow Nissan Z32 2by2

why yellow?

Yellow Nissan Z32 2by2
pros:
*nice car straight or with a mild tune
*looks the goods
*the longer wheel base makes it more stable than the 2 seater

cons
*in gt3 they had the colour yellow looking good but white sucked, in gt4 its the other way around... maybe its me
*the longer wheel base makes it more stable than the 2 seater
*heavy for a drifter stock

next: skyline gts25

Nissan Skyline GTS25

Pros

- RWD!
- Nice lightweight engine up front
- Good spread of torque throughtout the powerband

Cons

- Slightly dated styling all round
- Engine can't be tuned to an extreme level
- Seems to be the weapon of choice for all of societys wannabe drivers

Next Car? Gillet Vertigo

Pros:

-Small-ish
-It's not your typical race car
-Easy to tune
-Long bonnet
-Nice rims

Cons

-Named after a razor that is afraid of heights :)
-Ugly colour
-expensive compared to others in its class

Critique: Mines Evolution VI

Mines Evo VI

+ Great Pin-striping
+ Good brakes
+ Nice looking Wing

- Understeer when Hp is high
- Only one color
- Mines Skyline is more fun

Up next, 04' Honda S2000

Up next, 04' Honda S2000

PROS
1. Great bang for the buck value. Can sucessfully run alot of early and advanced racing. Honda gives us something faster than a Miata for half the price of a TVR. 👍

2. Plenty of redline. A great, flexible engine.

3. Looks to kill. Can be had in an array of colors.

4. Not too heavy.

5. Plenty of engine upgrades available.

6. Well-balanced handling. A bit much understeer, tho at first (especially compared to the S2000 in GT2 and GT3)

7. Well balanced gearing too..the way a sports car should be. I find myself not ever needing full-custom gears for this one. Plenty of top-end and it's rare you'll find yourself needing a gear you can't find.

8. Great sound.

CONS

1. A bit torqueless. Below 6,000 rpms it hasn't got much to give...especially as the speed builds.

2. As the power upgrades continue, the handling gets a bit squirrely. Nothing I can't manage, tho.

3. You can't take this one "all the way" like you can with a TVR or some other super-roadsters.

4. that's it, I'm out of cons! :D

next: '68 Nissan Fairlady (I'm currently on the west coast and actually saw a real one yesterday! It was red, too)

2.

umm... Toyota Levin BZ-R

HOw about the next person give us Pros & cons for both

Falken Skyline and Toyota Levin BZ-R

FALKEN:

Pros:

It looks good and goes fast.
It has the star in the name for some reason.

Cons:

It's another Skyline.

BZ-R:

Pros:

It looks better than the original AE86.
It goes faster too.
It comes in good colors (my opinion).

Cons:

It's another typical Japanese car.
Nothing REALLY exciting about it.

NEXT CAR: Mercedes Sauber C9!

Mercedes Sauber:

Pros: 1. A R92CP, mercedes version IMO.

2. DESTROYS Competition, even with Bum ass Bob driving.

3. 5 Gears, great for less shifting, and has a good powerband curve to go with the 5 gears.

Cons: 1. So rattly, and rattles more as you go faster.

2. Not the best fuel mileage.

3. Looks plain.

Next Car: Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Up next:Mitsubishi FTO LM edition

Mitsubishi FTO

pros:

Decent speed

Mitsubishi!

Cons:

Evo looks better
Far underatted (or is that a pro?)

Nextup: Lancia Stratos Rallycar!

Pros:

It seperates the men form the boys.

Pretty fast on tarmac.

funking sexy! :P

Cons:

Uh, It seperates the men from the boys.

Thanks to GT4 questionable tire modeling and cheating AI, it's pretty much useless on rally stages.

Ok, another Lancia: the Delta S4.

Delta S4

Pros
1. Can drift very well.
2. Over 400HP stock!
3. Lightweight.
4. 4WD.

Cons
1. It is a rally car, so no rim changes.
2. It gets left in the dust with the AI driving, because of quick gears.
3. It is old, and has the same sound as over 40 other cars have.

Next Car: Ford Mustang SVT Cobra

Pro's

+it's a mustang
+The color
+the motor

-The motor sound (sounds like a vacuum)
-Its used so you have to find it

Honda S2000

RUF GTR 2000

Pros:
Nice steering control (maybe a little oversteer)
Great acceleration, even stock
NA Engine
Look-a-like for a Porsche

Cons:
Maximum HP Tuned = 596
No Turbo
Can't Drift (e brake cuts off engine)

Honda S2000:

Pros:
1] It revs till 9000 rpm!
2] Great for drifting
3] You can take down the top!
4] It comes in a lot of colors and model years

Cons:
1] It feels sluggish in the lower rpms
2] Because of it's small engine you won't get as much power after tuning
3] Your always so friendly neighbour can suddenly turn into a jealous and unsymphatic man:scared: (lol I don't know of other cons)

Next: Pagani Zonda C12S
