I recently won both the stock Prototype Skyline and the LM Prototype Skyline, and i went to test the LM version at Tsukuba wet, and i ran a few laps, eventually i spun myself out at a corner out of boredom, and i noticed something while i was resting in the grass...

It, "It" being the car, or the game, or whatever, seems to apply throttle on its own on the car when under 10 mph, i thought my pedal was acting up but i reached down, pulled it up so it would'nt affect anything, and something was still applying throttle, i pulled the e-brake to "put it in neutral" in a sense, same thing, auto-throttle

And then i checked it with the Stock Proto, same thing, when your under 10 mph, it also applies auto-throttle, weither you press the brakes or bull the e-brake, it always does it

Is it a Glitch, or is it a feature of the new Skyline i haven't heard of ?

it the idle. on my moms blazer, my dads jag, jeep, and truck, and on my sisters buick, they all do the same thing. but not upto 10mph, more like 2.5-5

Its happening because its in gear if u put it in reverse and stop then release the brake it will start going in reverse.

There is no glitch, it is rather a much needed touch of realism. The cars that do this have and automatic gearbox.. there is an EVO VII that does the same thing. These gearboxes are awesome for drag racing as there is no time lost between gear shifts.

I hope in GT5 they will allow you to stall up the trans to get a proper drag racing style launch. Now thats a real simulation.

Wasn't it because of that turbo thing....i remembered it has some sort of problem with what you guys said, but i think it maybe is a glitch....

It is normal thing. I checked it. Also on Tsukuba but dry, not wet. I tried couple of laps and my best result was 50'747 s. Very fast car... :)

This is caused, as has been said already, by the automatic gearbox - the ECU (Engine Control Unit) opens the throttle very slightly to keep the engine from stalling, because the two things you would normally do to stop stalling can't be done with this car - putting it into neutral, which GT4 does not admit exists on any car in the game, or disengaging the clutch, which you obviously can't do in an automatic-gearboxed car.

It's not a glitch, it's intentional simulation of how the car itself would behave - Mercedes with automatic gearboxes do the same in GT4 - although, it would be considerably more realistic to just give us a neutral gear to use on all the cars instead.
