Ps2 Ribbon Problem

CAN ANYONE HELP ME! I DISCONNECTED THE SILVER RIBBON OF THE PS2, THE ONE THAT MAKES THE POWER AND THE RESET BUTTONS. I NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT BACK!!!

No wonder you can't put it back where it goes, you can't even turn off the caps lock............

What were you doing trying to install a no-solder mod chip anyways? That's the ONLY reason you should have to pull the ribbons out of the console.
 
I have done that before.

To fix it (without taking the motherboard out), you need a pair of thin tweezers and some persistence.

1:Take the bottom case the the PS2 off by (1) unscrewing the memory card slot and (2) taking the top cover of the PS2 off. If you put it upside down, the bottom casing will come off.

2:Put the PS2 on its side where the motherbard is connected to the DVD drive with a fat ribbon cable. The power cable is connected nect to that. You need to slide the power cable into the small slot next to it with the tweezers. Remember that the blue tab at the end of the cable indicates the top.
