Hi guys an' gals
just got a slimline PS2 today after my unslimline one broke after 5ish years.
I'm just wondering, what type of cable would I need to connect my BT homehub to my PS2 slimline
I know its an ethernet cable but I don't know whether it is crossover or straight-through (whatever they mean :ill:)
thanks for any help
cheers
Aldo

Going in to a router/switch, it should just be a good old, regular network cable. If you had the network adapter on the fat PS2, use the same cable for the slim.

Not so fast  I'm having some trouble with my Internet connection too.
I have the required cables, the setup CD and my PS2 is working fine... I got it connected to my modem, but I can't seem to be able to have a connection.
I often get this message: "No connection." + "Setup for Lan/Broadband connection." + "Manual/Automatic setup."
Automatic connection simply never worked (even 5 hours later it won't connect)... And I don't understand a thing about manual connection. In manual, they ask for my IP address, server address, etc. (which I really don't know where I could find them).

I'm pretty sure the answer is right in front of me, but what is it?
Is this because I have no router... or am I just dumb?

I tried this yesterday with Need For Speed Underground 2, and after the DNAS thing, it got an error connecting to EA server. It kept saying "the ISP connection has been lost" or something.
