Thinking of getting a Logitech Driving Force GT Wheel for Christmas, but wondering if I would really use it.
Anyway, in the attic last night and come across my old Thrustmaster Challenger (with the Ferrari badge an all) and dug out the PS2 and GT4. Plugged it all in and started doing the easy racers.
I was laughing out loud going around the corners on what felt like 2 wheels - the extra control you get with the braking and accelerator was amazing.
The only problem I had was I left the vibration on (playing with headphones), and didn't realise the noise the wooden table was making every time I hit something (quite often), until I was getting things thrown at me from the rest of the family
Anyways, my question is 'how does the DFGT Wheel compare to the old PS2 Wheel, will I be competitive if I practice on the old one upto christmas, or is it a completely different experience and I'd be better waiting?
