My PS3 is Directly Connected to a Thomson Speedtouch ST510 v6 Router via a Ethernet Cable

the Phone line Cable which has the Filter on also Plugs into the Speedtouch , when I went online the first time I go the Message about my Connection being a "NAT 3" Connection .

I could get into Lobbys and even play ok online with up too 12 other Players

For some Reason though I can't set up my Own Lobby and lots of Lobbys when I log on I get Connection Refused

Is there Some Way I can change the Settings in the PS3 Setup so I can At least try and Get NAT 2 ?

I live in the Middle of Knowhere so my best BB Speed is a lowly 1.8mbs which I know doesn't help either

Thanks

Sorted out the NAT 3 thingy <-- thicko technical term :dunce:

Now got NAT 2 👍

Modem DSL to Laptop - Laptop Ethernet to PS3 - Simple Set Up and yay NAT 2 so connection Issues are Sorted .

One other smallish question though ?

Laptop Runs Windows XP Home Edition , I disconect the Laptop from the Ethernet Cable to use the Laptop as the Cable is way to short to drag the Laptop over the other side of the room .

Later on When I need to re-connect the only way I can Re-Sign into the PSN Network is by shutting down the Laptop and the PS3 and Re-Starting both of them ?

Is there some setting in Windows XP I can Change so I don't need to keep doing that ?

Keeping them connected Permantley isn't a Option nor is getting a Longer Cable due to Room Size and other erm things that'll cause problems .

My guess is that you're going to have to keep doing what you're doing. I think whats happening is that when you plug the second plug in, the computer gets confused and cant send data to your ps3.

Note: I will add to this after I search it up. Currently on PS3.
