PS3 blue light always on

When I turn off my PS3 through the XMB (always) the blue light/wifi stays on, is this normal?

Yeah it should show a red led if it's off.

The blue light shows that there's a disc in the PS3

So maybe it's a sensor problem?

But then again, he's also saying Wifi stays on also, which sounds like a pretty neat sleep mode..

Moar research is needed!

I never had a blue light when I leave a game in my PS3.

Are there any other problems with your ps3 other than the wifi and blue light staying on when you power off your (just to clarify) phat ps3?

Have you remote play switched on?

Sounds like a drive sensor problem, the blue light is not the Wi-Fi light (which is green) and should only be on when any disk is in the system and the console is on.
