Hey all,

I got the new system update 3.70 I believe it was. Its supposed to activate the auto save upload to the psn as well as download any new updates onto the system.

I have it set up to turn on at 4:00 to 6:00 am and turned my games that i recently played on for the psn download. However in the morning all the save game data on the cloud is still old from a couple of months ago when i manualy uploaded the save data.

Anyone have any idea if im doing something wrong or if there is an issue with the new feature? I tried googling the problem but came up with nothing.

Thanks in advance.

Bump.. can anyone atleast direct me to someplace I may find some assistance, Please?

I still cant get the thing to work. The Playstation 3 does not even trun on at the time I set it to turn on for.

I haven't even checked to see if mine updated. But if it was me, I would just ask here:

Or search the PS support site or call CS. It may only do it once or twice a week? I noticed after the 3.70 update it didn't do anything the next day, then it said it uploaded like 5 saves the next morning. And then this morning I saw it on but it didn't say it did anything. Maybe it was just checking. Hopefully you can figure it out.

I have the same problem. It doesn't update anything.

I have emailed Sony UK Customer service

help@uk.playstation.com

Might be worth sending them an email.

After checking various forums, there is a workaround, but it's hardly ideal.

Change the time settings to the opposite of what they currently are. If it's set to update "via internet", then change it to "manual". It should then update....once. You then have to change it back to "via internet" for it to pick up the next update, etc, etc.

It's also been suggested that using the 24 hour clock may cause the problem, but this seems a bit hit & miss, so may not work. I haven't tried it yet, but got it to do an update using the method above.

Thanks alot for the tip! So it's a wide spread problem! Sony better fix it.
I'll give the work around a try but I rather not have to do that. Seems like it's more work then it's worth.

I believe the PS3 will only switch itself on if you have remote start, from the remote play menu, activated.

I came across this while googling this issue. Turns out quite a few people are having the same problem.

I contacted Sony Customer Service (UK), & they came back to me today. They have confirmed that it's a problem with firmware 3.7 & it should be remedied with the next update.

Thanks for the followup! I have got no reply yet. But as long as they know there is a problem that's good enough for me.
