Well if you haven't seen at least one PS3 commercial so far, then that's outrageous because it's all over the place! So far out of the top of my mind there has been one with:
-A toy baby
-Eggs?
-Rubix cube

My favorite has to be the toy baby one. It's creepy and a great commercial because it gets the viewer's attention very well. Plus it makes the PS3 look like "god"

I cannot think of a reason why Sony need to advertise for the PS3. We know. We're out there waiting for it.

Duh.

Not to mention they are advertising something we can't buy at the moment due to supply. Are they just trying to tease us? :boggled:

Oh...and I would vote for the cube commerical

Don't forget the very first PS3 commercial that had the kids on the roofs waiting for the PS3s to arrive.

EDIT: Also there is a new PS3 commercial that began airing last night for Resistance of Man. It starts like all the others, with the PS3 in the white room, then the wall explodes. Through the hole in the wall you walk into a fearcy battle showing some gameplay.

My favorite is the one on the sixaxis (eggs/crows), only because it is the most visually interesting of the bunch.

My favorite console commercial however is the Wii vs PS3 ad that spoofs the Mac vs PC commercials. 👍

Not a commercial, but the best promotional material I have seen for the PS3 is easily the flash media presentations at www.playb3yond.com

I especially like the latest addition, "High Definition".

Nice link! When sony wants to do something right thats what I'd expect from them. Not baby dolls.

None - I think they're all stupid. Besides, they don't make it look fun at all.

I agree. The baby one is very disturbing. :nervous: I havent really had any interrest in the PS3 at all and these commercials definetly dont help my enthusiasm at all.

I think all these PS3 ad's are shocking! They are completely rubbish, compared to campaigns like the Bravia coloured balls this stuff is so below what Sony are capable off... its probably because they dont even really need to advertise it.......it sells itself, plus there will be the game adverts aswell. The American and Japaniese adverts with like Play B3yond are only slightly better than the shockingly appauling "this is living" european campaign...... boy they should be shot!

Now this is the stupid thing..... the advert type videos on the Play B3yond website are amazing..... where is talks through how the PS3 will basically bend your mind...... those should be the adverts on the tv. The only thing thats good about all this is the rubix cube stuff.....

I also think the PS2 welcome to the third place campaign was rubbish aswell... but abit better than this one!

The Play Beyond site just updated the "Control" tab... which is a presentation on the sixaxis controller.

Interestingly though, they have removed one of the tabs which by its name suggested it was going to be a presentation on Sony's Online Gaming Service. Seems odd they would remove it... unless perhaps they are making some last minute changes?

Personally I think they're all bleh, but of all of them, I'd have to choose the egg one. It actually seemed somewhat interesting, it made sense the most, etc.

But IMO, the NASCAR Bravia ad where they reproduce the very first NASCAR race on TV using paper "puppets" (for a lack of a better word).

I'm sure it's given 80 year-old women heart attacks, and their last thoughts before death all were, "What the hell is Playstation 3?"
