If this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it. My question is in regards to a new PS3 controller I bought from Best Buy a couple of months ago.(I used my old one until it died) For some reason, whenever it vibrates, it makes this whirring sound that I assume is the motor. The problem that it is much louder than I remember it being. Am I just imagining things or is there something wrong with my controller?

Unfortunatley, I have no way of supplying video. It just vibrates really loudly. Should this cause concern?

As the controllers age the two halves of the case loosen up and rattle a little when it vibrates. Try holding it a little more firmly and see if that quietens it a bit, if not then it could be loose mounts instead. It's unlikely to be anything more than that, really. Do you rage at all (and throw it around as a result)?

I bought one and within 2-3 months it did this. Funny as the one that came with my ssytem is 2 1/2 years older and has never done this.
