PS3 Firmware V2.30 is out!

I just turned on my PS3 and was prompted to update. Anyone know what's in this version?

Yep, install just got done. A new shopping/store interface. Not sure what else has been updated.

Update to the Playstation store & DTS-HD-Master Audio decoding added for Blu-Ray Audio.

Also I think v2.30 is required to get the GT5P update.

Okay, I have a 40GB Japanese PS3, and I am on the UK PSN!
Now I was reading something on the PS3 discussion thread that you cannot update your Japanese PS3 with the UK update or any other for that matter... Is this true?
(I am a PS3 n00b, and based on the interface I think I always will be )..
Any help?

Nope, I have a PS3 from Hong Kong and live in Australia and updates work fine.

If you want your PS3 to eventually break then you can download other countries updates, I would download the HK firmware for a HK PS3.

Yes, it's very slow here too. At least the information appears for each product, just slow for all the images.

Information slow too for me, takes a will for the info to come for the last items in the lists , some images never come :/

It's probably slow because it was down for a few days and there is currently millions of people accessing it simultaneously.

Funnily, I find the complete opposite. I find it alot quicker than the old PSN store....

Everything should be like clockwork in no time. the store and the pages load waaay faster than the old store. Keep up the good work Sony techs.
