So far I havent been able to get the DFP to work with GT3 and my PS3. I even downloaded the 1.11 update for the PS3. Has anyone tried the DFP with the PS3 yet?

This has already been answered in the PS3 General Discussion thread, or similar thread.

Try a search for it.

Oh, it's better to ask a question in there than start a whole new thread. It clutters up the place, you know?

Just to end it, no, it doesn't work as of now.

THe DFP does work with NFS: Carbon, F1, and MotorStorm though (some games have limited functionality). It's compatible with the PS3, there are just a few quirks with the BC functionality that have to be tuned (Specifically, the DFP doesn't have a way to switch to analog mode).

Whats the difference? This is a PS3 forum.

Such a nice greeting for a new member.

Could have at least gave me a link to it.

Keep up that attitude and you aren't going to be liked very well.

To answer the question, the G25 (and from what I hear, the DFP) work with PS3 games, but not with PS2 games. The G25 acts no different from a SIXAXIS from my experience, but the only racing game I own is RR7 so I haven't had the chance to test it with Carbon.

Eh, I dont really care how well I'm liked or hated its the damn internet... anyways

I read in one of the other threads someone thought he could get the DFP working by switching the controller out for it during simulation mode or something.

I wonder if there is some trick out there similar to that so we can get it to work.

Do you guys think Sony can fix it from not working in PS2 games via a firmware update?

It does not matter if you want to be liked or not, the choice is yours as it should be.

However your posts have been curt and you have dismissed advice that have been given, and yes some of the replies you have been given have not been wonderful in themselves.

That does not set a standard that we want to see here at GT Planet, as well as pointing this out publicly I will also be PMing you on this subject.

In the mean time this thread is getting locked, as given the nature of posts to date and some of the comments I can see little chance of it getting beyond a flame war.

I would remind everyone that the AUP does ask that questions are asked and dealt with in a polite and semi-friendly manner.

Regards

Scaff
