Err what OP? I don't get ya...

I bought a new PS3 and on my older one I have the id mamann10 with all of GT5s game.
When I loaded the new one I put the same name mamann10 on there and I didn't mean too. Is there someway I can delete it or something?:scared:

I think all you did was name your "offline" user ID on your new PS3 - that name has nothing to do with your PSN ID (in your case, they just match). Just go to the network XMB menu and sign in. Trophy info will sync and carry over - but any saved data you want will have to be transferred over - using a method of your choice.

*I suggest trying other PS3 forums for further assistance, since it's not specifically GT5 related.

On the new ps3 just go to accounts (far left) and press triangle on the account you want to delete. If you made the same ID as the old one (system), you could use your old save file on the new system.

I'm still not too sure what you're talking about though, I could be wrong.

I have been trying to change the on line ID to something else but no no:yuck: I have two PS3s and without thinking I have the same on line ID on both of them:scared: there is all kinds of crap on U tube but...
thanks for your help

You could make another ps3 account and have a new online ID, you could make hundreds of accounts on one ps3

You created a new online ID, and you don't have your gt5 game data or trophies on that account?

So now you want to change your new account back to the same username as you had on the old PS3?

Well you can't ever change your online ID unless your origional account was Japanese, for some reason they can change it. To recover your origional online ID you'll have to create a new user to the far left on the XMB, and sign in to your origional account using the username (email) and password you had used previously. If you no longer have that information you will have to contact PS3 support.

You can't merge your new account to the old one either.

I'm not really following this, if you don't want to use the same PSN ID on the new PS3, create another and use that. What exactly is the issue? I have two PSN IDs on one PS3, you can choose which to use when you switch the console on.

As others have said, you can't really move your saves and game data to the new PS3 from the old one, but you can access your trophies, friends list and suchlike if you *do* use the same old PSN ID...but you don't want to? What are you actually wanting to do with each ID and each PS3?

Oh but you can using this feature.

did it when I got a new PS3 and it worked flawlessly. It transferred everything to the new PS3 as it was on the old one even the copy protected saves.
