Well as you guys know the European launch is on its was and closing in fast, and I should be getting one on launch day (depending on stock, as we are 10th on the list at my local Gamestation) but the big question is, I have a WiFi connection at home and get around 260 to 300+ KBs on a good day then around 30 to 60 on a poor day (its with Virgin/NTL :( ) how easy is it to connect the PS3 to WiFi (easy as PSP???) and what kind of speed am I going to get, for playing games online? (Resitance & RR Ect).

If anyone has any experiance with this sort of thing please enlighten me because I dont want to have to upgrade the connection and equipment.

Cheers :D

I would think it'd be the same as the PSP.

I have 768Kb (upload) DSL. I have a feeling you might see some lag on your good days, but I could be wrong.

It's nearly exact to how the PSP connects. Just go to Settings and then to Internet Connection and you get guided all the way through.

Its extremely easy to connect the PS3 over Wifi. Its very self explanitory. All ya really gotta do is, network connections>wireless connection then hit X a couple times and sign up for the playstation network. As for speeds, i havent ran any speed test. But it took about 30 min to download GT:HD. My friend who has a PSP said its exactly like his PSP to connect on a network.

The connection we have is supposed to be an 8MB/s but we connect at 2.6/3 because of the distance we are from the phone exchange, but true speeds are as I stated above. I really hope its ok. :nervous:

If it's 260/300kb upload then you should be fine on most occasions. I survived with 2meg broadband absolutely fine if nothing else is running in the background (ie other downloads or torrents). Upgrading to 4meg has made a little difference, but there still the usual issues that happen with online gaming - poor connection to the host, etc, that no one can avoid.

This is experience from Xbox Live though...
