PS3 release date and price answer!!

I have serached and found a few questions about the PS3 release date but they were all a few months ago so i'm going to clear all the release date of the PS3 release date questions, i have searched all the game websites and found that the release date of the PS3 is round March (or spring) 2006, if anybody finds anymore information about the release date, please keep us updated!

ALthough, considering Micro$hizzle and Ninty are planning 'simaltaneous' world-wide launches, maybe Sony will follow suit?
 
Hopefully worldwide simultaneous. Otherwise i can just see Japan getting it in March, America in September and "the unimportant countries" in March 07.

Spring 06 has been the predicted date since E3 i believe.
 
According to some Sony official, Sony are planning in simultanious release worldwide, however official that report is I don't know but it'd be interesting to see if Sony does try it. It's not the most economical plan from a business perspective but considering Microsoft will have done it by then they might have no choice but to attemp it.
 
I hope it will be Japanonly for half a year... I just love importing consoles and being the first one to own a PS3 in my area.... :lol:
Actually that is true, but probably more because of the good old times... I used to do it like that over the past years.... DC, PS2, GC...jp import at the very first time...

I myself dont care if its released as early as march 2006 because I highly doubt a Gran Turismo game will be ready by then and thats the main reason for myself buying a PS3. I hope they dont rush it.

Although I would highly consider buying the PS3 early if GTA 4 was out.
 
I really hope we get a universal release date. I'm in extreme hope that it comes in March, as my birthday falls in March, and that can be a present from my parents. Otherwise, I'll be stuck paying for it myself, and I can't afford that right now.

I'm with Jay, though. I don't mind waiting a while to purchase one, as GTA 4 and GT5 won't be released for a while.
 
I've had a part time job for too long now. I'm out of school, and my boss at my part-time job was screwing me around, so I've just quit. Looking for full-time work.

But anyway, that's another topic.

I meant hope they dont rush the PS3 as I know PD dont rush, sorry I didnt make that very clear in my post.
 
There was an article on BBC website saying Europe won't be seeing PS3 before 2007. Don't know how official that is though.

I read that story several days ago. It's all bull****. They were quoting only one idiot from Microsoft.

However, you fellas got to realize that the only "OFFICIAL" word on the PS3 release date has been "Spring Time." I suppose they meant Japan's Spring time, which is later in the year compared to the US Spring time. Their Spring starts mid-early April, and end in early-mid July. So, it's safe to say we wont see the PS3 unil late June. Perhaps Fall, or Winter, of 2006 for the rest of us.
 
Well, I'm surely won't be buying one before 2007, but I think it'll be released around July next year in Japan and maybe on Chrismas in US.
 
the date i posted was the release date for japan (i think), if it was, the PS3 would be out November 2006 in the UK maybe (and i hope so since i want to play Vison gran Turismo! :) )
 
VGT isn't a game, it's a vision of the future of Gran Turismo, GT5 is the next GT game, and it won't be out till 2007 at the earliest, regardless of when the PS3 launches.
 
Man, i am so glad i have 3 $10.00+ jobs, i'll have enough money for 3 ps3's by the time it comes out.
 
I can always take out a 2nd mor. on my house and afford a Ps3....

well, money will go on my car instead of video games by the time it'll comes out... I cant afford this with my budget... Its either my car OR video games... As far as I'm concerned, I prefer real life... ahahaha...

pfff... yeah well, it'll wait till the price goes down before I buy it... It worth the price but I aint gonna sacrifice that amount of money, thats unconciously insane...
 
It's cheaper than I expect and was willing to spend on it tbh. Now all I need is a 52" LCD TV.

No not GT, I'm more interested in MGS4, I'm looking forwards to GT5 too though. I was expecting it to be around £350, at very first I thought maybe even £400, then I saw the XB360's price at £199 for the basic pack so I thought they won't double that.

Hmmm, I'm tempted, I know I'm going to get one, but I'm not sure to pre-order one now or buy in January.

I'm a big anti-Microsoft even if I use XP... I dont buy them things anymore, and I never gonna do it again... About the Xbox360, I will not buy it even if it was better and powerful the PS3... Even if someone gave it to me, I would sell it right away..
