Hi guys,
I’ve tried searching everywhere to find an answer to this to confidently spend £60 on DR2.0 or Dirt 4, but am still unsure. Any help from PS4, Drivehub & Fanatec users would be great.
I currently use a PS4 with a Fanatec Porsche GT2 wheel, ClubSport Pedals V2 and ClubSport Shifter SQ 1.5 connected separately to the DriveHub by a Fanatec ClubSport USB adaptor (note not into the wheel).
So basically all I want to be able to do is play DR2.0 (and indeed Dirt 4 / DR1) like I do Assetto Corsa, where I can switch between H-pattern and sequential / paddle modes on the CSS (mostly) seamlessly between cars. It seems this is not possible in DR1 at all & it only recognises one or the other (whichever mode it’s booted up with). This was why I bought the USB adaptor, as after much experimentation & support from Drivehub, the Porsche wheels can’t cope with switching transmission modes if plugged into the wheel, in any game). AC works pretty much flawlessly as long as you switch mode before you load a stage. I also never got the clutch to work in DR1 (though this may be because DR1 officially supported my wheel, & now using Drivehub in order to make the CS SQ work I would be fudging the GT2 as a CSL which the game in turn fudges as a Porsche wheel!)
Anyway, am I either missing something or trying to do something that can’t be done on console at all? I guess my question is basically will DR2.0 and / or D4 work as you’d expect it to with my setup?
Also, is it possible to have the CSS do all the gear changes in either mode, and at the same time use my on-wheel paddle as a handbrake? Or will this always mirror the sequential shifter?
Thanks in advance for any support.
Rob
