PS4 - Pacific (PST) Weekday Morning Sprint Spec Racing

PSN = SoCaLLbeer - updated for patch 6.0 timed races.

I am going to be running a public room most weekday mornings around 6:30am - 7:30am PST. Mondays I will often skip until The Walking Dead goes on break. - Thursdays are hit and miss as Wed is a busy night.

The main point - Forced Default Setups and Same Car. (Spec Racing)

No Points kept - Just prefer clean spec racing.

I generally like to run car types from GT4, Formula Rookie, Group 5, Group A, and BMW M1 Pro-Car. Will always rotate in other cars that people want. - But I never run Karts.

Tues-Thursday I will generally use cars with H-Pattern Shifters, while Friday will be all Sequential day. I do this because I run a TH8a and I do not like to switch back and forth from H plate to sequential plate often. Sometimes paddle shift squential cars will be mixed in mid week though.

Tracks I will rotate most of them.
I generally won't do - Spa, 24hr La Mans, Nordschleife, Horse Thief Mile, and Azure.
I never run - Kart Tracks or Point 2 Point or Mojave (No Mojava because you cant do qualifying)

Note: - I tend to mute my MIC and turn off voice chat during races. Then if needed to ask questions (like people are voting against my track or car selection) I will un-mute my mic and turn voice chat back on in the lobby only.

Wed - It went OK - I can tell the popularity for my car choices and rules is not very high and I assume most people that joined were random and not from the forum, but it was still fun.

Ran the following Wed..
BMW M3 GT4 - Laguna Seca
Toyota GT6 - Laguna Seca (people voted to start before I could change the track)
BMW M1 ProCar - Donington National


Thursday (Nov 12th) - Went OK I guess.
**Formula Rookie - Oulton Park Fosters - AI is slow at 70 - in the race I had the FFB grinding bug which always sucks.
**Caper Monterey Stock Car - Mojave Coyote Noose - No more Mojave tracks can't do qualifying.
**Mercedes benz 190e 2.5-16 evolution 2 dtm - Brands Hatch Indy - I drove poorly and accidentally rear ended someone of the track. Lag turned a bump into a hard hit, still my fault though.

Friday (Nov 13th) - sequential day - people did not stay and race.
***BMW 320 TC2 - Silverstone National Circuit - Just me and AI - people did not stay - AI was balanced at 70% - fun car/track combo
***Ruf CTR3 - Imola - AI maybe a little to good at 70% - someone joined but left after they spun.
***Caterham sp300 - Brno - Just me and AI - AI way slow with this car and track combo at 70%


Wed - Nov 18th - First race was Fun... Second no so much..
***Toyota GT-86 Rocket Bunny GT4 - Snetterton 200 - AI was good fun, one other person raced we both made mistakes but it was good fun. Great car/track combo.
***Caterham Classic - Oschersleben C Circuit - Changed the Circuit to national as C circuit you can't do qualifying. Few people came in during the qualifying and left before the race started. Me vs the AI - I hit an invisible wall fighting for position with the AI, then again 2 laps later. Got frustrated and ended the session.
*** Joined a random GT3 room (cause there are so many) Engine sound on throttle was bugged so left the session.



Thursday - Nov 19th - Not too bad - fun morning.
***Ford zakspeed capri group 5 - Willow Springs International Raceway - Fun Track/Car combo, I personally made too many mistakes. People joined and raced (2-3) one of them won.
***Sauber C9 - Zolder - Again Fun Track/Car combo. 3-4 people joined to race, one left right at the start and his car sat on the straight which caused problems. After it appeared to be gone it was still physically there but invisible, causing the AI to swerve around it and at least I crashed into it. Caught back up to the AI but then I made a mistake again so did not place well.

Friday - Nov 20th (Flappy paddle Friday)
***Aston martin v8 vantage gt4 - Sakitto - International - people came in to qualify but left before it was over. AI is a bit fast for 70% with this car and track combo. Hard to keep up without constantly overheating the tires. Otherwise good fun.
*****Radical sr3-rs - Road America - This was a great car/track combo. 3 others raced - AI was just about right at 70% (a tad slow maybe) - I was having a great race for the lead but real life got in the way, I spun, so I pulled off and let the other people racing finish. Will run this again for sure. Just wish the Radical sr3-rs made a little bit more engine noise on throttle.


****Nov 23rd-27th **** No races planned. Picked up Star Wars Battlefront will be playing that and will be gone for Thanksgiving
