PS5 E-Mail purchase opportunity

I received an e-mail today from PSN with the offer to purchase a PS5.
Email says event goes live tomorrow and gives me a two hour window to submit my purchase.
Decent to have the opportunity offered since they are supposed to be hard to get but I have decided to not purchase a PS5 at this time and probably not at all.
Was wondering how many others got that e-mail?

This was a week ago.

PlayStation Direct, Sony's online store dedicated to PlayStation products, will restock its PS5 and PS5 Digital consoles today according to emails sent out to those randomly selected to gain early access to the store.

A PS5 restock will happen at PlayStation Direct today (Update: Sold out)

Sounds like a scam.

The e-mail came from the playstation.com e-mail account. I never clink on links in e-mails anyway and the e-mail tells you to log into your PSN account and click the shop now button. Also says that you must log into PSN with the same email address that was used to send the e-mail.

Sounds legit, but no worry I am not going to buy a PS5 anyway.
