Some of those cars look new to me. On the first page, 5th row, 2nd from the left, a black car, looks like a new Gulf V? And last row, 3rd from left, what is that? The paintjob reminds me of a JGTC Nissan Skyline GT-R, but it looks too small.

And the 3rd page, the section on tracks, the blue car is an MR-S or what?

1) It's the rear of the Honda Odessy
2) Not sure, looks like the rear of the Cusco Impreza. Well with that wing.
3) Is the V35 Skyline

In the uk PSW (I think it's PSW I was reading a friends copy) they compared GT4 to R-Racing evolution. They had the same screenies featured here.

You're right the second car looks like the Nissan Xanavi GT-R. If you zoom in a bit you'll see the same huge air ducts/vents on the back of the front wheel arches, the paint job is the same, the rear wing is the same and the antenna on the roof is the same too.

As for the last car i'm not so sure it's an MR-S or V35 Skyline. If you look at the brake lights you can see two seperate brake lights on each side inside the same lense/cover. Makes me think it's an Audi TT. There also appears to be a small spoiler sticking out from the bottom of the boot lid which also suggests a TT.

The blue car is a V35 no doubt about it, the small car that looks like a JGTC Skyline is a JGTC Skyline but it's on the far away view.

Good to see the Ford GT there.
Nooo my worst fears.......MPVS  ........
Skyline on a rally track :odd: .

RI: is that edition of PSW worth getting? I was gonna get it the other day, but couldn't be bothered.

i'm just surprised they mentioned 700+ cars as a possiblility.... twice.

Lovely article. I hope PD does change the crowds to 3D because the ones in gt4p are crap, sry but if they can't do full 3d make them 2d and stationary because the 2d ppl that run on the track are annoying and I hate to look at them.

I don't know how much "on topic" this is, but new cars aren't the big deal for me. I'm more interested in tracks. I think I've said that few times though, so feel free to tune me out ... if you haven't already.

You can take the Ford GT on dirt, as well as the viper. Oh and the Honda Oddesy rules you.

It's not worth it, I haven't bought a computer mag for like 5 years.

How come GT4P lets all these "non-rally" cars on the rally tracks.....a ford GT on a rally track? :odd:

You could rally the GT40 in GT2.

Thats a Datsun 240Z on dirt as well, one of the license tests in GTC is a Ford Focus RS (road car) on the Alpine rally track maybe this a trend in GT4 as well.:odd:

Thats an all new low for me....owned by a honda oddesy :(......

A gt on dirt???:odd:

Same here. There just too expensive now and you can learn most of the info in there, from the web.

nice mag scans, thanks for the info

What's up with the rear view mirrors on the 240Z. I've never seen a 240Z with mirrors like that. Here's what it should look like:

you obviously dont know classic Japanese cars very well do you. dont forget the 240Z in GT4 is a Japanese version

the model you shown isnt even a 240Z anyway it a 260 or 280Z

I'm fairly sure the model shown is the Fairlady Z432R, the rally homologation special that Nissan built.

You obviously don't know cars,period. The model I 'shown' is a 1970 240Z:

Which is identical to the 240Z shown in this advertisement from 1970:

well i got the 240Z thing wrong, BUT like i said that isnt a Japanese model. Japanese models are different... Period.

The Japanese models have mirrors on the front of the hood, American models have them on the door. But that is typical of almost all Japanese cars.
