PSN bought GT:P offline mode?

I bought GT:P on the PSN and it only seems to work if my PS3 is connected to the web/PSN. Is there any way for it to work if i am not connected as it asks that i connect before playing it? this is not normaly an issue as i always have it connected, but i sometimes lend my PS3 to my brother and he doesn`t have access to the web.Any help would be greatfully received. Cheers.
 
if it askes you want to be connected,just click no and you can go on and play while being offline.....have you tried?
 
I too have the same issue and was about to post the same question.

As for the connection problem, it isnt a yes or no selection, it tells you to connect to the net and you have to hit the circle (cancel) button to reconnect.

Does anyone have a solution?
 
if it says you have to connect, then you have to connect....there will be no way round it.

Call the Sony helpline and ask them, they will be able to tell you 100% if it does or doesn't work offline.
