PSN credit card issues?

Recently while trying to download some DLC, an error message reminded me that the credit card had expired. Simple, I thought, just update the expiration date and it'll work?

Well, no. It told me the card wasn't valid.

Then, something really interesting happened. I tried it with another card, also known valid, and it said that one was wrong too.

That makes me think there's some kind of server trouble going on. Anyone care to help me figure out the possible causes?
 
Changing the expiration date won't work if the card has expired. You simply won't be able to use the card.
 
I called PSN tech support today, and I think I found the issue.

The post office recently changed my zip code. The credit institution got on board with the change right away, but the PSN still doesn't think the new zip code exists in Alaska.

So, until they fix it, I'll have to rely on PSN cards.
