The good: It's great when you can kick a jerk out of a room.

The bad: You get kicked by a vote initiated by the jerk.

In at least two cases I---the victim!--got kicked. I prefer to lose a race than to bump. If I accidentally bump I'll wait for you.

Anyone experience this?

I've experienced this plenty of times, I've been kicked out of rooms for winning too many times. I've been kicked out for not having a microphone (or when I did have one....I hate responding to ten year old squeakers)....

What can you do? Some people are asses, some are just sore losers.

Also I notice that there is no kind of overtaking etiquette. People will shove their nose into the apex to overtake you and shove you out of the way.

I think a lot of people are unfamiliar with overtaking rules. FM3 should add them to those stupid tips we see all the time so as to educate the community.

I would think public lobbies are really a place to try and find a few other good players, friend them and then both of you head off to try and add to your friends collection until you have some good races...

Also true. I've been purposely swerved into before the corner ahead even came up, and of course I wasn't able to finish. Almost makes you want to hunt down that player and 🤬 all of his or her races up.

If I accidentally bump someone, I ALWAYS apologize. Half the time, they say "it's all good", and the other half they say "you #$#$ WTF, GTFO you n00b". Sigh.

I always let people know I am on their right or left to pass (whether or not they have mics on), and I ALWAYS let people pass me that are obviously getting ready to pass me or take me over with ease.

I've been kicked out for winning a few times. Or right when I join, I think sometimes that happens because I've made it to Champion status.

I've had trouble with people who won't let you pass and will side swipe you on straights. The best thing I've found for that is if you can catch back up to them only let your front fender get next to them. So when the try to wreck you they'll end up pitting themselves.

It MAY not always be intentional. Going back to our discussion on the 🤬 programming at speed for the analog stick I was in a race on Sebring Full and completely unintentionally swerved into the guy in P2. It was on that lazy corner heading towards the hairpin (T5 or 6 depending on how one counts) and I was simply trying to maintain a clean outside line. However nearing the end of the bend I feel myself drifting wide and as I try to get back on line with a tiny nudge of the stick I end up pushing it 1 millimeter too far apparently and the car darts to the right and into the other driver. Naturally he goes carreening into the weeds and I end up feeling like a complete ass. Of course I apologized, but after the race as I didn't have my mic on at the time.

I imagine most times this is not the case, but no doubt there are times where others hit us (and vise versa) with no ill intent or poor planning... sometimes the simple truth is the controller programming sucks! 👎

I did that to someone who punted me and a few other players and I rolled him into the sand trap at Motegi. He tries to catch back up and hit me and missed big time

Exactly what I'm talking about. Good stuff.👍

The people who like to shove people out of their way seem to get pretty angry when it's done to them.

I think if you bump someone you should WAIT for them to pass you. Just saying sorry and speeding away doesn't do it. But I feel like I'm the only one who does this.

I do this. I feel it's sporty, unless you're an ass in which case I probably meant to bump you.

I've been at/in races in real life where fights have broken out over unsporting passes. It's quite a hilarious scene at times.

I was there..

And then later I had an Exige and nailed the same guy who had an Impreza or something this time and was bumping everyone. It was at Amalfi Coast, I rammed the rear of his car instead of braking going into the tunnel, flipping him, and I continued on my way.

I've always been side swiped (very hard) on the Catalunya straight making a pass at a good 20mph advantage. Hit that guy at every opportunity.

Oh and then you go to vote kick the guy after the race and everyone else votes "no". WTF?
