This is Puma GTE , a Brazilian Sports car made under Vw's beetle Chassis and belongs a F1 Champion Nelson Piquet
its engine was replaced by BMW M42 turbo with +-600 hp and less than 900 kg

I'm pretty sure the chassis is VW Type 3 (Kharmann Ghia et al) rather than VW Type 1?
