Never ever ever ever ever !
This thread may get closed or moved but I do have to mention it. With Online Lobbies filled with Host's changing Weight/BHP/Track Settings we now have the the worst....... PUNTING!! đź‘Ž

Getting kicked out of a room is fine and quite normal but to have someone punt you constantly because they lack to skill to turn a corner or use the breaks does not give then the right to use other drivers as a barrier to stop their car to get through a corner. Private Rooms are here but no one is using them to the fullest or frequently enough(If they are not Private you get Kicked Anyway). Online Races have now become a Punter's Paradise who have a Set Goal to Damage your Vehicle and finish ahead just to get a few measly credits all for no real Prize!!:dunce:

It's been about 3 days I have not had more than five races online so I dont bother so much. But come on...its got to get better than this, something has to be done. Well I have started to Report anyone who does this and will do so until that function is no longer available.

I dont have my ps3 atm so dont know, but ive always found rooms that have a low BHP cap to have the best drivers.

Also is there an option to remove cr./exp. from races?
 
Sadly I think all the GTP guys are racing in private lounges with guys on their friends lists. Would be really nice to see alot of GTP rooms in the open lobby.

It takes a LONG time to find any race worth while with the way its setup now.

I was fortunate enough to find a GTRP room with some GTRP guys and had some fun Super GT racing. It was amazing to see 5 cars still bunched together giving each other room about 4 minutes into the 24 hr Nurb course. I got dive bombed once but received only minimal damage that remedied itself.

In the end I dont think punting is as bad in GT5 as it was in GT5P. Ghosting is much more effective in GT5 reducing the impact of punts. Most of the time I'm able to stay on track.

The worst incident I had online was when a racing modified Lotus Elise was ramming my Ford GT every single turn. After the race he said I can only drive in a straight line and I was a slug in the corners. My car was 1250+kgs I'm guessing he was half that at most

No. But the most I've seen given out is 20k credits and 5k XP for winning a packed race. That's puny numbers once your in the high 20s/30s in leveling
 
I've got a few GTP GTRP and 1 IRT members on my list but they dont seem to be doing Private Rooms as yet and neither are any others on my list, but that may be down to different times we are playing or doing something else in GT Mode. Maybe in a couple of months it will become better once the event races are set up so it can be smilar to Prologue but with no PP just Selecting 2 or 3 cars with similar Low or High BHP to make it fun.

Since it mentioned on the back of the box and manual, i think it has to come up some time.
 
Exactly...I get kicked almost immediately right when I enter any room...since my name is StingrayX...people think that i'm going to bring a Corvette Stingray in the game, when it's not allowed and i don't even own one lol...this is getting quite annoying and people shouldn't be too serous about online...pathetic.

Im constantly getting barged when overtaking, I have however a good story to tell, yeah so I was at cote and you see it has that confusing corner where you can easily mistake the pitstop for the next turn. Yeah that noob punter went and pitted in. Yeah that felt good.

However this **** is still annoying, and is still going on. It has to stop, but it probably wont. GRRR
 
The most annoying thing is when they don't even make it look like bad driving. When they just slam into you, no brakes, turning towards you etc.
Instead of trying to out-brake but failing.
I have slightly more respect for the latter.
 
Guess what happened to me at Laguna Seca. I'm leading the race, and I slow down for the cork screw. Some idiot decides to basically rear end me so hard, that I go flying forward right into the wall. SO I slowly cut through the dirt back on to the track (I was already like half way down through the dirt) and the game gives me a 10 second short cut penalty. And to make it worse, I don't think the other guy even got a ramming penalty with the way he accelerated off.

What a D******. What's the fun of that? Really? I mean it's way more fun to go neck & neck just before the finish line on the last lap than to bash up your car like it's a Hit-to-pass.. Maybe if they made Demo Derby games again these people would leave? I love those kinda games.. when it's acually encouraged its fun. Anyway y'all seem like a good lot to play with and hope to see you online sometime. đź‘Ť

The worst part was I got a penalty for something that wasn't even my fault:ouch:
 
The same happens to me alot in the same way as you have described. I just leave the lobby and find another one. Sometimes its good and sometimes bad.

It's not easy to race clean. Apparently, it's also not easy to brake for a corner everyone and their grandmother knows is coming up. I know it's Christmas and all, but those red lights on the back of my car aren't for decoration. I know a few people who are going to get coal in their stockings... or thrown at their head.

I don't think I've been in a private room yet. Although, usually I go to my friends list and join where they are. My point is I've had some great races online, many more great races over bad ones. I will admit the badnones happen after searching through the open lobbies and just picking a room.
 
Public lobbies have been fine for me. Just today I was in a room with 15 random people and we were on the Nurb 24-hour variation and did 2 laps with time/weather change. I must say this was an incredible experience. Somehow everyone ended up with cars that were pretty much equal in performance (even though there were no restrictions). We start out in the rain at night, and over time the rain slows and daybreak arrives as the sun is rising over the horizon. The entire race was bumper to bumper close, and everyone was driving clean (no punting at all) which is very hard to do on a tight course like the 'Ring in addition to the fact it was night/wet. People were overtaking without any issues and moving to the side to let others pass. It was a pretty remarkable experience. The only issue was a lag spike that sent a guy slamming into the back of me like a guided missile, spinning me out on the last straight putting me from 2nd place into last.

Not true, I've had a race with Mini Coopers Vs Peugeot 207 on Nurb 24/hr and still people were punting like crazy. The only difference is that your not getting punted with such ferocity due to lack of high speed.

Needless to say I won the race but It was close and so much fun beating 2 Mini Cooper's in the 207. Sure there were a few little knocks and bumps but thats how it's supposed to be.
 
If you select your room a bit you can find some good racing. I usually aim for room with same car racing because it's here that I had the best races. Driver seems to be mostly clean and if they arent they cant' catch up.
A good things to check too when you join a room is the rules, you can usually determine if the host is a stupid wrecker or a fair player.

Also the thing that resolve everything when you racing online is : Create your own room, make strict rules and as soon as someone is not following them, kick him, as host you can do it. I have no problem doing so and have lobby up for 4-5 hours of fun and fair racing.
