Purchasing Ferrari's

I have looked on the official Ferrari website and could not find a part where you can order your own Ferrari. So does anyone know where I can look into ordering and customizing a Ferrari On-line? I dont want stupid sites like Supercars.net and crap like that telling me how much they cost, I want the real deal. I got something up my sleeve........ :D

You might want to take a look at Edmunds.com. You should be able to configure most of the options there, but if you want to order one, you should probably visit an official dealer (especially if you're going to spend that kind of money).

On a second note, have you checked eBay Motors? There are some pretty good deals on used Ferrari's to be found. I've got my eye on a '96 F355 right now.

Hmmmm.. are they really that tough to find??

Im sure for the right price someone would give one up. People will do anything for money.

Well, I've always considered them pretty rare myself (I thought I was never even going to see one in person until the USGP), but after a quick Google search, there appears to be quite a few looking for new owners. :)

Cars like the F40 (supercars) are either kept away and never driven, or driven often and "traded around". For the select few that can afford them new, they may find that they're not quite what they thought, get bored of them, find them unwieldy, etc., and look to get rid of them. They return them, sell them, trash them, Gumball them.... I'd look for one of the first two (returned or sold). Of all the supercars sold, I'd guess that about half are not kept for too long. Otherwise, what's the point of getting something new? :)

These are the ones I have my eyes on.

1988 Ferrari Testarossa $65,900
Red over Tan. Magnificent flawless example has been garage kept & properly maintained since new including recent belt service. Everything is correct and in proper order.

1995 Ferrari F50 $695,000
Less than 40 miles. Car has been stored since purchased new in Japan.

1992 Ferrari F40 $250,000-$300,000
This magnificent automobile was first sold in 1993 and was stored in a temperature controlled warehouse as part of a fine collection

2002 Ferrari 550 Maranello Barchetta $400,000

2002 Ferrari 360 Modena Spider $252,000
2400 miles, US car, Grisio Alloy exterior with a dark blue interior and dark blue soft top. This Modena spider is absolutely beautiful.

I have some serious choices to make here. I love the F40 just for the performance, but the 360 for looks. They are all pretty sweet though.

Here is a beautiful '95 355 for $90,500

1995 FERRARI 355 SPYDER. Fly Yellow on Black. Very clean car with factory Ferrari crest on front fender, Tubi exhaust, chrome factory wheels.

You must be pulling in some serious cash too in order to pay for these things

OMG, I found my car

If i bought this i would put it under glass in the front room of my house for display.

2001 SALEEN S7 Coupe $450,000
This is a truly a one of a kind opportunity. You can own the actual S7R that Chris Bingham piloted to 2001 Rolex Grand American Sports Car Championship.

Drew,
Hate to sound like an old fart...But what about the classic lines of the 246 Dino?:D
Granted, it isn't anywhere near as fast as the 360. But it is a bit like Jaclyn Smith VS. Pam Anderson. Both gorgeous, one with immeasurable class, one just as sexy as all get out.
Is this car gonna be an objet d'art? or is it gonna be a driver?
If you run across a spare '95-98 Nissan 240SX could you parcel post it to me? :D Please No sunroof tho'. With my short legs and long body, It would be the death of me at the first good bump in the road.

I can see the headlines now: Man killed in car crash after being knocked unconscious by the roof of his car.
I see a Darwin Award in that one  .

damn for the kinda money that is being spent there...wow....I KNO I KNO~ Get A McLaren! hehe, ull get a lil change for ur 1 million

Yeah - I'd think so, as well, however there are several dealers all over (none, that I know of, in Canada) that specialize in used exotic cars, and I see F40's pretty often listed for sale with them. Pick up a copy of the magazine 'DuPont Registry.' ;)

I found a used exotic car dealer this afternoon, its not too far away from me, maybe 30 mins. The dealer wouldnt give me the time of day. He told me that I wasnt aloud to hang out in his car room and that it wasnt for kids. I shortly spun around, and walked out the door.... his loss. I saw a beautiful 95 RT/10 for $45,000. But the rest of his collection was nothing more than 911's and a couple assorted Lambo's.

You better snatch that one up before I do :D
