Purposly Restarting....

After relizing that, according to yall's,"rules" I have cheated almost through the entire game....

As such I am deleting my files from GT3 ( exept some really cool replays :p )So I can restart, and NOT "cheat".

Any Sugestions?

I currently have a fully-tuned Speedster,and MX-5 LS.
I am at 10.2% and have all the licenses I need for awhile(IA&R)
 
Its not cheating if you were having fun.
Restarting will let you get better at driving and thats what this game is all about.
Gotta admit, cheating has its momentary rewards too. :lol:

People make such a big deal about how other people play the game. All that matters is that you the player are having fun. Who cares if your not a "true" GT player. All the people who are like that probably cheat but are too afraid to admit it. I will admit to have been using F1's in regular races but it got old.So all-in-all who cares what others think.

I have to agree with sk8r and Misnblu! If you're enjoying your game, it's not cheating. Play it the way it makes you happy and is rewarding for you to play.

I play by MY 'rules' because that's the way I enjoy it. By all means, I don't think less of anybody for playing by their own rules. Don't think you need to be a saint for our sake - as long as you're enjoying it, keep going!
 
I thought about restarting as well. Mostly because of all the money I wasted buying cars for the races that restrict you to a specific model (I abhor that... forcing me to buy cars I hate and all...) and figured that if I just did the Time Trial mode first, I'd have a nice head start and blah blah, but then I figured out how many races that would be rerunning and decided against it.

Instead, I'll just go for all the auxillary prize cars (license golds and TT one) and that will allow me to have that nice fat cushion without using a SINGLE VITZ OR AUDI TT ( ::cough:: SLED ::cough:: )!!!!

I agree with the others. If you had fun, no need to wipe the effort. If you truly feel strongly about the ways of your past racing, there's no need to begin all over.
 
it truly doesnt matta if u cheat or not.....it just spoils the game sorta
 
I used F1s to get to 100% - I was obsessed to getting to 100% for some reason (it was no big deal in GT-2, which was handy since you couldn't!).

Since I got to 100%, I haven't driven the F1s in competition - I only been running them in the Run & Settings at Complex String to see what sort of time I could get in them.

It can be hard to get a decent competition out of the AI though - I've been winding back the cars I run in competitions to the point that I was running an untuned JGTC Supra against other JGTC cars, and was still winning by 10-15 seconds.
 
I certainly would be restarting because you 'cheated'. What is cheating anyway. Like others have said, if you were having fun and enjoying what you were doing, and were finding it rewarding (or as rewarding as you could find playing a racing game for hours on end), then thats what matters.

Hey, I saw in another thread where you implied that you had already deleted your old game. Rereading this, I realized that you did it in response to opinions voiced here - only to have everybody jump on you for doing that! It must seem like you can't win.

I just want to congratulate you for taking a path that will improve your driving skills. Hopefully, you will find it more rewarding this way, for your own reasons, not ours.

I guess I'm rambling, but I wanted you to know that we recognize the extra effort you're putting in to restart.

I'm actually moving ahead of myself. Its day 92 and I have myself 2 race cars ( Camaro Race Car,Corevette C5R ).I got the C5R as a prize from the Super Speedway Endurance,hehe.

I'm wasteing races left and right :lol:
