As I'm sure all of you will remember, in Gran Turismo 3 there was a much-welcomed option to improve your place in the starting grid by running in qualification laps. Why this was omitted in future titles is beyond me. Races are now reduced to an attempt to abuse the ridiculously exaggerated slipstream effect in an attempt to catch the lead car before a set number of laps, as opposed to directly competing against the AI. This game-breaking issue absolutely needs to be rectified.
